Why I now believe that salvation can be lost.

^ EDIT to add to my post: and Nah… but I must say I HAVE had many excellent teachers/preachers in all my years of being a Christian (and I praise the Lord for that/them!)
 
I will make this very simple. Faith with (works)

*works are commands in the bible that God has commanded us to do. E.g keep my commandments in the new testament, love your brother, be kind to others, help the poor, help the needy, preach the word of God, love God etc.

We are not saved by works alone. We need faith in Jesus as well.

You seem to think one can say they trust God. Yet not do those works. And that faith be real..

However many CLAIM to have faith HAVE NO WORKS.

So if you do not have the natural byproduct, how can you CLAIM you have faith?

You don't Your faith is DEAD.

SO AS JAMES SAID, CAN THAT FAITH SAVE YOU?

I believe exactly what your saying. You are misinterpreting me. I dont believe in Faith Alone.

He is talking about works period. A work is done to earn a wage or a reward.

If your working to earn or maintain salvation. Then your working to earn a reward. Thus rejecting the GIFT.

Works also produce fruit. Which will yield a reward for all believers.

Commandments given By The Living Word written upon the heart and mind (so you can't separate yourself from them, you can't discard them, you can't ignore them, you can't argue whether or not God sees it as important to you, and you ultimately love and think on them,Yeah!!!!!) (Not 4 the 5) and contained within them, the Law and the prophets.


Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.

Remember Cain and Abel. Abel did it Gods way (gave of the first fruits) and Cain did it his way (took from the cursed ground)
Gods Way = Happy God Our way = Not

You have a misunderstood view of those who disagree with OSAS. We never said we believe in good works alone without Christ. That's just a false judgment.

Paul tells us what works are

1. They cause men to boast (eph 2: 8-9)
2. If used for salvation. They produce self righteousness
3. For a true believer, they produce fruit.
4. They (any work of righteousness, be it works of the law or works of the NT) can not save us (titus 3)

Trying to earn grace by works is called legalism, It is called trying to meet some standard. Which god set up as the law. And not submitting to the righteousness of Christ.

I think you already have your view of us and nobody will change that. This view is your own opinion. But we dont think like that. I don't earn my salvation. I trust in Jesus Christ to help me get Salvation:).

Of course good works for God produce fruit. That's why God wants us to do them.

If you trusted Jesus you would not claim Jesus could fail and lose you. You would believe when Jesus said you have eternal life. You have it.

If i'm saved, i'm i supposed to quit prostitution? i'm i supposed to quit slandering and cheating? i'm i supposed to put an effort to be faithful to my wife and stop adultery? or is the Lord going to do all that for me or maybe now it doesn't matter because i'm already saved and even if i do all these, grace abides.
