No not necessarily, even the pharisees kept the sabbath.Do you really think that a person whose heart isn't on God would want to honor His Holy day? Seriously?

did you eed the law to tell you that, Or did you just have to realise, God loved me, and gave me his son, I need to take that love and stop serving self, but serve others..
and if I fail to do this (I failed to serve my neighbor because I wanted to keep for myself) I am in sin, because I failed to love because I loved self first.
I did not need the law to tell me either of these things.
It's more than a couple. And no, not everyone who observes the sabbath is wrong. Just depends on your motive. If you are trying to please GOD, then you are in error, because without faith it is impossible to please GOD; and works of law are not faith.
I still think it's a bit of a cop-out to say that a couple of people believe such-and-such about the Sabbath/Law yet have no evidence that anyone does, and make it sound like all people who follow the Sabbath/Law believe that way.
Regardless, you need to do a better job of qualifying what you say about Sabbath/Law-keepers and distinguish that only a few of them have erroneous beliefs, while not coming against ALL who keep the Sabbath/Law.
Exactly. The source and the motive are the same (God). Doing these acts of love to others (and ultimately yo God) is the point, not where the instruction came from. But just because the instruction comes from God doesn't mean you can't read the Law to know to do those things.
Correction. God wrote the Law. Therefore God tells us to do that. But the law did not tell me to do that.
And it also said if I cam going to follow it, I better be perfect..
How is following the Law imperfectly or not to the letter of the Law watering it down?why do we want to water the law down?
Look, I'm not going to go back and dig up evidence just to convince your doubting mind. And it's not my job to qualify what I say about sabbath keepers, because as far as I'm concerned they're all stumbling blocks to the brethren. If you like to keep the sabbath, bless you and have a nice day. But quit making such an issue about it, and trying to convince others that it is something they need to do, because as long as you do, you will get grief. Havest thou faith to do something? Have it to yourself before GOD.
Its practice. Re-hearsal.
Re-hearsing with the understanding of a child until we have grown in the understanding that the Lord Jesus Christ gives us.
Showing Love and Loyalty to the Lord Jesus Christ means dying to the law and our own "righteousness" and living for Him. Trusting and having Faith that He perfects us and not our works of the law.
... and tried to give grief to Jesus for "breaking" it.No not necessarily, even the pharisees kept the sabbath.
It's what troll does.
He Still required perfection. And all the people said AMEN..Correction. God wrote the Law. Therefore God tells us to do that.
And what would happen if I don't follow it perfectly? How is following the Law imperfectly or not to the letter of the Law watering it down?
He Still required perfection. And all the people said AMEN..
so when are you going to say AMEN?
Because the law says obey perfectly, or you under a curse.
God said it not me, your argument is with God.
Did God lie?
Did he say, here is my law. Now obey every jott and tittle, or you will be cursed.
Then later say ok, Now you have obeyed it 98 percent, so your ok.
You obeyed it 90 percent, I will let you be ok
You obeyed it 80 %, I give to you the curse required for whoever did not keep my law to my standard.
God said every word. when we say not every word, but I am still morally good, we water it down. Because anythign short of perfection is NOT perfection.
So what curse am I under now if my salvation is through grace by faith, but I choose to follow the Law, albeit imperfectly?
The better law of the new covenant: Remember Christ, to keep him Holy
Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15
Welcome to CC, friend.
I hope you stick around long enough to learn Tintin is no troll but rather a great brother in Christ.
Right, Christ is our Sabbath. We're called to rest in Him.
