God has no ego problem. When someone says "God" I assume that they are talking about the Father. The one, supreme God and Father of all.
All that we know about the Father comes to us courtesy of the Son, who was also known as the Lord God of Israel.
In other words?
What we find in and through Jesus to us?
He is all the God the Father that we can know!
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God
and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
John 1:18
That is a good and decent translation.
But it is not quite enough if we are to have better understanding.
For the Greek is even stronger in meaning when translated more carefully.
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God
and is in closest relationship with the Father, He has declared Him
[He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen;
He has interpreted Him, and He has made Him known].
Jesus is our "interpreter" and "translator" of God the Father to us, presenting the Father to us "into our language," so to speak.
How far can you stand back from God in order to see Him?
We can't!
grace and peace ............
