There is a great enemy, who is highly intelligent and he has been around for many years.. the devil. Which a great zeal to destroy anything righteous and true we shouldn't and can't pretent this evil dosen't exist.

We know that God is supreme and will destroy satan but knowing the deceptions of enemy is helpful so we are not deceived.

How do we know who is teaching the doctrines?
Who is working the miracles?
Who is stirring up our feeling?

Who is talking to us?

Is it God or Satan?

Some might think this is a silly question. But the devil can lie, decieve and pretend to be what ever he wants.

Mix truth and error in what ever ratios it best suits him.

God loves all and will only use truth which is sometimes unattractive.

How do we know if the miracles and revivals and doctrines are from God or from the Devil?

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

2Th 2:9-11
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

2Ti 4:3-5
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2Co 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

If an angel of light appeared to you, would you presume it was an angel from Jesus and obey it without question?

The easy way to distinguish is love your enemy. If a classroom or a man without wings tells you he has enemies, it must be false teachers and false prophets who have no ears or eyes.

Face The enemy should with joy and amusement, even smile.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

The Gospel of John 16:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
16:21
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Hello @TMS, as believers, we must continually grow in/deepen our knowledge and understanding of God and of His word so that, with the Holy Spirit's help/guidance, we can immediately discern truth from error/discern what comes from God and what does not. The Bible is our Regula Fidei (our rule of faith), the standard by which we test all things.

Here are a few verses that come to mind regarding this: Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3, 119:9,11; John 8:32, 16:13, 17:17; Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17, Deuteronomy 11:18-21.

God bless you!!

All things point to Jesus Christ...son of man ,..son of GOD and his righteousness. Even the fathers work was so we believe his son.
He is the truth and light, the life.
If one testifies of himself he is not of God. False teachings add or take away from the word of GOD.

doctrine: 2nd Timothy 3:16,17- "all scripture is given by inspiration of God & is profitable thru DOCTRINE, reproof......" miracles" Jesus was & is performing miracles. the devil also does. 1st John teaches how to discern the spirits. 1st John 4:4- "you are of God little children & have OVERCOME them....." (overcome demonic spirits). also, 1st John 4:1-6. feeling: certainly, the devilcan creep into our feelings. we must create a powerful conditioned response of application of understanding, knowledge & wisdom. wisdom being the application of action. talking: its not difficult to discern anything bad, negative, sinful or wrong that it's evil & not to entertain those thoughts. God or satan: everyone needs to know that with God, answers usually take awhile, with satan, he'll give you something immediately. we can apply John 3:33, 14:16,17 & 26, 16:13, 1st John 3:24, 2nd timothy 2:7, 15.

In my experience there are three voices that compel me: the voice of God my Father, the voice of the Enemy, and the voice of my own soul. Just to be clear, all are leadings and not audible voices.

My soul will not disturb the status quo. It demands homeostasis or at least something close to it. It remains within the boundaries of proficiency.

The voice of my enemy condemns me, accuses me, the end of which is hopelessness. This voice would lead me to isolation and discouragement.

The voice of my Father convicts me but always to restore. He will often lead me to places I do not want to go and are well out of my comfort zone and proficiency. There will always be a precedent for where He leads me in the scriptures and in those who are my elders. This voice assures me He will always be with me.

Knowing the voice that is impressing us isn't always black and white or easy.

And there has been lots of advice in the above quotes, but God told Abraham to kill his son, and satan quoted the bible to Jesus.

Knowing Gods voice is something we should all aim to improve.
We can Know the word of God, as a light that reveals the hidden traps of Satan.

Do you think Satan will try to deceive the world one last time just before Jesus returns?
And if he trys to trick people he isn't going to come as a fiery dragon with hate and malice. He knows the scripture and the more he can do to impersonate Jesus more he will decieve.

I believe he will come as a loving, kind, light bearing being, that many will worship. The way we will know is by the word. 95% truth with a few errors = the devil in disguise.
Gods character does not change and the devil will not be able to be 100% like God so we need to know God so well we can see the differences.

Depends on what it told me. I'm reasonably familiar with what the Bible says, and that makes the Catholic "Marian Apparitions" child's play to assign to satan. Catholics allow that "Angel of light" to lead 'em around by the nose.

Much of what you said here is no where in Scripture. For me Matt 24 24 and 2nd Thess 2 9 the Church is already gone. Its the reason why the lawless one can come out in the open since He which holds back the lawless one was taking out of the way. Forgive me but this is a clear sign you've never seen a demon nor fallen angel for they can never ever speak truth. God by Christ said there is no truth in him he was a murder from the start. No truth means he can never stand on some stage saying JESUS Christ came in the flesh died on the cross the worlds sin was buried rose the 3rd day is the only way to the Father. Now MAN can say that and that MAN up front can also not believe in Jesus yet call someone up front pray for them and they get healed. Hmm how?

People should know this.. this is meat. Peter and John? Never once asked prayed to God or Jesus when they prayed for that man. It was we don't have any sliver or gold but what I do have give I unto you in JESUS NAME. In acts if we keep reading they tell say.. "why do you look at us as if WE did this by our own power?" Heres why the person up front can be fake yet someone can still be healed "that name faith in that name HEALE HIM". The 12 never healed anyone...its that NAME that heals that ever knee shall bow to.

Those signs Jesus did drew people to Him to then preach. These signs shall follow them that believe. Sorry Satan does not believe and there is NO truth in Him. So figure out what is "truth" then take all that away form Satan, Demons, fallen angles.

Many have nothing to worry out since your no threat for you already don't believe and you doubt. Its why you see nothing of the supernatural. You expect some preacher or prophet to be sinless to have all the correct doctrine and also believe like talk like you and if they don't..well not of God. A prophet way before I was born in a meeting said there are allot of different doctrines here but none of them touch salvation. To think believe Satan can do miracles is a false doctrine. Its ok for you know those that believe he cant ..its them that have the false doctrine huh.

All this is so odd.. we SAY we believe in trust in Jesus Christ who He said lives in us will never leave us and by His own mouth said His sheep know/hear His voice and the voice of a stranger they will NOT follow. We know in Acts the sweet holy Spirit talks.. its amazing at everything the enemy can do yet some just can't pray and ask Him about this.

Satan was kicked out of Heaven.. so everything of GOD everything that is GOD is no where to be found in Satan. Everything he does kills steals and he destroys. He can not create anything.

Hello again TMS, Satan quoted the Bible to the Lord Jesus to tempt Him to sin. He survived all three of the devil's flaming arrow attacks w/o sinning, yes? What did the Lord do is response to Satan's attacks/temptations to avoid falling into sin  (should we not consider doing the same?)

That said, I agree, the devil is VERY intelligent and VERY cunning (always deceiving us/our emotions with ear-tickling lies and half-truths), and he, no doubt, knows God's word (the letter of it anyway) better than any of us do. However, we, as the sheep of the Shepherd, have a number of advantages that he (the devil) does not, because we know the Shepherd and recognize His voice (as well then the voices of those who are not the Shepherd), so we trust and follow Him/follow His voice because we do .. see John 10.

We also have the permanent indwelling of God Himself (the Holy Spirit) to guide us into all truth .. e.g. John 16:13, so the better that we come to know His truth, and Him of course, the more "black and white", the easier and easier discerning God's truth from Satan's lies will become for us (amen :giggle:). This is one of the biggest reasons that growing in the knowledge and understanding of God and of His word every day is so vital to our walk.

God bless you!!

~Deuteronomy

Matthew 4
1 Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’ ”
5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
‘HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU’;
and
‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP,
SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.’ ”
7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’ ”
8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;
9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’ ”
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
Ephesians 6
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Why do you think that the written Word of God is called "the Sword of the Spirit" ? The reason for that is so that Scripture will cut down and demolish all the lies of Satan. It is up to every Christians to diligently study and then rightly divide the Word of Truth.

The very fact that you are sowing doubts means that this is coming from Satan. Gospel Truth and Bible Truth are very clear. It is only when people choose the doctrines of men over the Word of God that Satan succeeds is deceiving people.

If in your studies, you encounter contradicting scriptures, then you are not understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ.

All of the scriptures must harmonize, in order to be the truth.

I think it to be more profitable in understanding the scriptures if you reference only the scriptures in gleaning the truths within them, and avoid referencing other person's interpretation of them.

How am i sowing doubts?
My motive was to help people to be ready, by knowing the truth and the Lord, and to expose the deceptions of the devil. How is this coming from satan?

1Th 5: 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

i don't think it follows from "love your enemies" that anyone with enemies is a false teacher..

i mean how can Jesus say "love your enemies" if there are no such thing as enemies? loving someone doesn't automatically make them your friend.

this same Christ also said, "woe to you when all men speak well of you" - He said do good to those who spitefully abuse you - and that the world will hate us for His sake.

i am more skeptical of someone who says they have no enemies than someone who says they do.

The phrase translated "rightly divide" is literally "cut straight" - - as in striking with a sword edge-on, or making a road that does not meander to the left or right.

Correct. Or one could use the analogy of a skilled surgeon with his scalpel. So we need to correctly interpret Scripture, comparing Scripture with Scripture, and letting the Holy Spirit teach us the truth. Christ has promised that He will lead us into all truth.

You can certainly know by knowing the scriptures -------if anyone preaches what goes against the scriptures --it is not from God ---The Holy Spirit will never veer from the truth of the Scriptures -----that is how you tell if your pastor is Saved or not -----if they preach the law and do good for your neighbour and you will be allowed into heaven --you know then the Preacher is not of God -----so RUN

Become very scripture savvy ----

Ask for Discernment ----discernment is a gift of the Spirit ----

If your feelings are leading you to anger ----anxiety ---fear ---doubt ---depression ---etc they are not from God ----

I'm a bit surprised that you didn't add this passage too, 1 Jn 4: 1-3 KJV "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

Pr 19: 27 KJV "Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge."

Lu 6: 40 KJV " The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
This is why it's so important to choose your teachers with great care, for you will end up believing as they do.
The Holy Spirit will illuminate scripture to teach the truth. 1 Cor 8:2 KJV "If any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. Even a good human teacher can only teach what he thinks is best.
IS 25: 9, 10 and Heb 5: 12-14 makes it most clear that we are to get our knowledge and doctrines from scripture.
