There is a great enemy, who is highly intelligent and he has been around for many years.. the devil. Which a great zeal to destroy anything righteous and true we shouldn't and can't pretent this evil dosen't exist.
We know that God is supreme and will destroy satan but knowing the deceptions of enemy is helpful so we are not deceived.
How do we know who is teaching the doctrines?
Who is working the miracles?
Who is stirring up our feeling?
Who is talking to us?
Is it God or Satan?
Some might think this is a silly question. But the devil can lie, decieve and pretend to be what ever he wants.
Mix truth and error in what ever ratios it best suits him.
God loves all and will only use truth which is sometimes unattractive.
How do we know if the miracles and revivals and doctrines are from God or from the Devil?
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
2Th 2:9-11
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
2Ti 4:3-5
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2Co 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
If an angel of light appeared to you, would you presume it was an angel from Jesus and obey it without question?
