If your feelings are leading you to anger ----anxiety ---fear ---doubt ---depression ---etc they are not from God ----

Amen to knowing the scripture and testing all by the scripture.

But be careful with feelings.
Jesus was extreemly sad and must have experienced feelings that the carnal nature uses to tempt us but that is when we die to the flesh and live for the Spirit.
Jesus before He died was sweating blood from the mental anguish. We overcome the feelings by the sure word. Claiming the promises and having faith in Jesus.

i don't think it follows from "love your enemies" that anyone with enemies is a false teacher..

i mean how can Jesus say "love your enemies" if there are no such thing as enemies? loving someone doesn't automatically make them your friend.

this same Christ also said, "woe to you when all men speak well of you" - He said do good to those who spitefully abuse you - and that the world will hate us for His sake.

i am more skeptical of someone who says they have no enemies than someone who says they do.

We need to face the enemy with an open mind, even if he wants to murder you, we are just temporarily in the world, spreading God's love, not through the justice League to maintain the world order, we are through the Gospel to anyone, if you assume a group of enemies, then the Gospel is stopped.
