I've been veggie most of my life, maybe was veggie.... might be more accurate now. All the franken fruits and veggies in shops now, suggest to me there's plenty of stuff there shouldn't be in them.

However, one has to eat.... :cautious:
I just talked with a vegetarian Friday about that. Even some companies that provide organic produce decided to use Bill Gates Apeel! He's polluting people's bodies every way he can.

I genuinely feel some pity for people like him, either born into families who betrayed their fellow humans, or became betrayers themselves. Think people who can do things like that, might have less ability to empathise with others.

Could well be a while yet but think this system is in its death throes sis, just so glad to know the LORD will sort out the horror show when the time is right.

Here's about a 5 minute expose' on Apeel, Bill Gates poison.

Did you do know his parents were leaders in Eugenics which is a rationalization for mass murder?
Did you know that he publicly stated that his official position is to reduce humanity to "zero?"
Did you know that he's responsible for giving children cancer and other horrible diseases?

I don't hold it against you for not knowing. None of us know it all. You know a lot that I do not.
What Jesus said of such is that it would be better for a milestone to be tied around him and cast into the sea.

I'm passionate about this subject because people like Gates, reprobates who are enemies of God, killed my family. My heart goes out instead to the victims of those murderers . Im pretty sure that you agree, my friend.

Apeel< Just skip the ad and the repeat at the intro and it's about 5minutes.

I see where you are coming from because we both have compassion for unbelievers.
You are right that his parents betrayed fellow humans. They definitely had an influence on Bill who carries out their goals of exterminating humanity.

There are some people, who are not only unbelievers but enemies of God . God turns them over to a reprobate mind, ie. Pharaoh, Antichrists, Romans 1.
Psychopaths (Bible term Reprobates) can't empathize with others because they chose to harden their hearts against God.)
We are told to think the same way about them as the Lord does, so I decided to be choosy on who should receive my compassion and who should not. There are examples in the Bible where God got angry with individuals for showing kindness to His enemies. That's not taught or preached in most churches.

Since we both care about health and are concerned with healthy foods, you might want more information on this produce additive. I contacted the head of a company that provides a new popular variety of apples to find out if they use these chemicals. That's one thing we can do besides growing our own. We really need solutions and that's what I'm after.

Here's the deep dive on Bill Gate's Apeel.<

He's one of the big smalltime people for sure, the death and misery caused to many in poor countries by his vaccination programs are wicked. Thing is, we know empathy with others wasn't considered to be a priority, in at least recent generations of his family.

Saddened you and your family have suffered because of this evil, my youngest son became autistic because of vaccination. Well, i think so anyway, my older children were never vaccinated. When he was 10 months old, he was a vigorous, healthy, confident baby, who was about to take his first steps. Sadly, rotorvirus was doing the rounds, he caught it and needed hospitilisation because dehydration was setting in.

I was with him from when i dropped his brothers and sister at school, to when i collected them. Then from when their Dad returned from work until about 11pm. The day before he was coming home, he was close to normal again, i went to collect him to discover he was in a very weak, unresponsive state. The doctor said he didn't know what had happened but i was sure they'd vaccinated him without our permission, i'd seen a child in similar condition previously, because of vaccination. They denied it and i couldn't prove it, as he had multiple skin traumas because of various tests and treatments.

Instead of the well developed, robust little lad he was, he became weak, prone to anything going and developed Asperger's syndrome. Later on, he wasn't learning to read properly at school so i took him out of school for about 6 months, to teach him at home. The LEA raised hell but to their shock, when they tested him he now had the reading age of an 11 year old, so they involved me in the discussions with the Educational Psychologist. He's a healthy adult but the Aspergers is permanent, he's very intelligent, has his own flat and works etc but it's obvious he's a bit different.

Hey Everyone!

A quick Google search says that "Kryptonite" is: "an alien mineral that has the property of depriving Superman of his powers; something that can seriously weaken or harm a particular person or thing."

In this thread, let's talk about someone's "kryptonite" as a relatively GOOD thing.

What are the qualities that will always make you notice a person, and maybe even "knock you off your feet" about them? (Whether as a potential date, or a potential friend?)

For instance, I'm always impressed by:

* Good manners -- when they open doors for people, say "please" and "thank you", treat others with kindness, etc. I'm always impressed by those who are kind to employees and fellow customers in all situations (at restaurants, theaters, stores, airports, etc.)

* Biblical knowledge without superiority -- someone who can discuss the Bible well but without trying to impress with "exclusive knowledge" or pride; is gifted in meeting others humbly where they are at.

* Willing to talk about spiritual experiences and gifts but with humility, and is willing to listen about the same in others. For example, I often seem to have a calling to those who have gone through a lot of abuse, often as children, and that can be a tough subject to engage in.

* A realistic attitude -- someone who's neither artificially exuberant nor exceedingly sullen or apathetic. Someone who feels genuine and comfortable to talk to -- which can be frustratingly rare to find.

* Compassionate but with the wisdom to set boundaries -- someone who has the knowledge experience with knowing when to help, and when to avoid enabling.

* And of course, someone who has a great sense of humor and curiosity about life! :)

How about YOU?

* What qualities in others are YOUR kryptonite -- what things do you see in other people that makes you feel almost "powerless" -- and wanting to know more about them?

* How long does it take you to notice these things -- or are they usually evident early on?

* What is it about these things that you find so attractive?

* Do you find that you have all of the same qualities you're attracted to in others, or do you like the feeling of "opposites attracting"?
Wow, that is a very lovely shopping list. But how about just loving people for who they are despite not having everything on our shopping list?

Amen.

I'm not saying I'm trying to test this, but...

Let's just leave these here and see what happens.

Any woman that can hold my eye contact, smile and openly affirm her appreciation for me ....plus make brussels sprouts like this has already made me .... extremely curious. A woman who has a sense of confidence about herself for who she is not necessarily for her appearance. Too much fussing about appearance tends to create a barrier. Is that weird or what?

Cheers Suze, think most people know frothing at people, usually causes arguments or worse. However, the world had a nervous breakdown back in '20 and it's getting worse, not better. So many people seem to be losing their humanity along with the plot.

And i'm a sister but that avatar does suggest i could be a bro. I'll probably change it to my sacred moo one soon but i really like this one too :giggle:
Ooops , sorry sis ❤️

There are many threads about that here. This thread is not one of them. This thread is about something else.

If you look at the first original poster, it definitely is what people are talking about. What is it that touches your heart a.k.a. makes you weak at the knees when you meet somebody. And the person who responded had a very long list of specific requirements. So the question is still there if you have such a long list of requirements or things that you would need in order to be touched then it becomes a very narrow road and maybe not the right way to be open to love and friendship and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I just like people for who they are and I like to listen to whatever they want to share from their heart.

As the original poster, just to clarify my own point of view (just my own, not for anyone else):

This thread was meant to be more fun and light-hearted, but of course, people can interpret it as something deeper if they wish.

We all have a general "screening" process when it comes to wanting to get to know people on a deeper level. Without that, anyone and everyone would be on the list of candidates, and no one has the time or energy for that.

Rather, I was thinking of something like, "What initially catches your attention?" It may or may not go any further than that, but this thread is about that first layer. What makes you want to get to know more about someone to begin with?

For example, I was once talking to a guy (in English) and one of his co-workers came up and started speaking in Spanish, which he answered back (in Spanish) with no hesitation, then turned and continued our conversation in English. In my head I was like, WHOA!!!

Someone who can go back and forth between languages in real time, and at the turn of a dime??!!! Now that's something that grabs my attention.

Is is a requirement? No. Is it the only reason I'd like or be interested in a person? Of course not.

But if I'm given a choice (and have limited time) to speak to say, 3 different people, learning more about how this person became so fluent in at least 2 (and maybe even more!) languages first is probably going to top the list.

But that's just me.

Just to let you know, I've read some of your posts and know you're going through a difficult situation right now, and I am sorry. I definitely understand why you are concerned about deeper meaning and connection.

That's not exactly what this thread is about, but you are welcome to see it that way and I wish you all the best in your journey.

Think there are more dating threads than usual at the moment? However, there are many which promote interesting, thoughtful discussion too.

Probably easy to develop an iffy impression if you don't know the forum so well.

When someone is genuinely kind and gentle. Suze said it best--that you can see it in their eyes.

Also who is giving out pie recipes? I love lemon meringue pie, but I haven't looked for recipes yet. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I posted this for Edith with lemon pie recipe link, if it's any help...

I love Sally McKenney's recipes. I'll link one of her recipes. I figure she can explain it better than me. I'm getting to that point of life in the kitchen where I just cook by feeling and/or motion rather than being able to explain. I read about a woman who really wanted some of her mother's recipes and she asked her mother for them. Her mother told her, "I can't tell you, but I can show you."

I do have a binder that is packed full of recipes and notes and probably a pound of flour in between the sheets of paper lol. I jokingly call it my "Book of Secrets" and I intend to be buried with it 😂

But, I've used Sally's recipes a number of times and all have been very smashing...

Well, in the Singles part of the forum, yes, there are bound to be several threads going about dating. :) We used to have a very active set of regulars in Singles who were always making threads, but that has become almost non-existent over the years.

I think the forum used to be set up in such a way that it was more obvious where people were when reading threads (which section they were in,) but now I know most people just click on the latest post or discussion and don't realize they're in the Singles section.

I do tone down some of my thread titles out of respect for the site.

A while back, I wrote a thread about polls and was going to put something about "Poll Dancing," but seeing as a lot of people probably actually do get "poll" and "pole" mixed up (the older I get, I find myself accidentally spelling the alternative to homonyms as well,) I used a much more tame title.

No worries, think i talk about stuff many don't associate with women. Grrr! Like we're all the same! :p
Oh yes , I know the feeling 😬 I'm not really into new curtains or clothes or children etc etc etc . I love music , films , books and nature . Enjoy watching a lot of sports on TV especially athletics but will watch almost anything except cricket 😖 too old to play any now but when I was young I ran the 100 metes in 12-2 seconds . Girlie stuff is usually a bit dull ☹️ , sorry to all the girlies out there 🤪 .

Oh glory! I know providing explanations would have been a real pain, however, seeing a thread with that name, would have made me crack up laughing for sure.

I'd love to start some (hopefully) interesting/fun threads here too Seoul. Hopeful my arthritic fingers might be less problematic now, not one for medics but i'm certain it's rheumatoid arthritis, which is real trouble when setting in. They aren't freaky length but are pretty long and very flexible, so are prone to such problems now i'm old. Maybe i'm getting used to it or there's improvement but i'd like to try starting a thread soon.

YT and some other sites allow some decent, older films, might there be enough interest for a film club type thread?

Ditto! We definitely have a lot in common, i'm human, gender is secondary and has very little impact on my interests. Which are myriad, i'm sort of an entps, entp, challenges, figuring out better ways of doing things, stuff like that, are oxygen to me.

1OO metres in 12.2 secs is seriously impressive, did you think about training for county competition? As for the stuff you love, wondering if you're a secret sister  What do you think of the film club idea? Wondering if i've suggested that before :cautious:
