I recommend giving. If you go to a big rich church that don't need your money, find a worthy way to give directly to a need, and in the name of the Lord give.

One day, Father God took so much joy in adopting me into His family, He revealed Himself to me, embraced me and continued to show me His ways.
Then He discovered I wasn't giving 10 percent of my pay cheque to an establishment every month...WHAT??
YOU ARE CURSED! I WILL NO LONGER PROTECT YOU!
How ludicrous is that thinking?
That His love toward us would be conditional to money.
I would prefer to encounter people who truly have a need and pour out blessings on them than mindlessly give to an establishment where I really have no idea where it's going and most likely would provide no help to people who are actually in need within their own four walls.

What test is used in the bible to see if you are in faith?
Answer...Luke 16:9-13 Christians are tested with the least in the Kingdom of God which is money.
It takes faith to tithe (gross). Every time you get paid are you going to believe that God’s Word works...that 90 percent with God’s blessing goes further than 100 percent without?
And here men that die receive tithes; but There He receives them, of whom it is witnessed that He lives. Hebrews 7:8 NKJV
Hebrews 7 states that Lord Jesus Christ is our High Priest who lives forever. He receives your tithes in heaven. Tithe means 10% gross.
The word of God always say bring the tithe. It never says give because you can't give what does not belong to you. Give means offering. According to the bible there is only two things you can do with a tithe - You can bring it to Gods house or you can steal it.
While the tithe is mandatory, the offering is voluntary. We determine the amount of the offering, and it is from the heart. But an offering is never an offering until we have given the full tithe.

Pay the bill first ! Jesus never tithe and pay the temple tax only once in all his life. So dont worry about tithe but be like Jesus the friend of the lowly, the poor and the rejected...
It takes no faith at all to tithe, because today it cannot be done in accordance with Scripture. Giving 10% of your income, net or gross, is not biblical tithing.
Tithing is of the Law. It is not a command, requirement, obligation, or expectation given to Christians.
Giving to people is fun but, giving to the Lord is outrageous FUN!!! I highly recommend tithing 10% to the Lord with joy and thanksgiving for all He has done for us! He loooooooooves a cheerful giver! You will never be the same.........................Tithe! I dare ya!

Now I don't see a problem with someone who wants to give 10% or more to their church or to other Christian sources to help clothe and feed the poor etc.. What I do have a problem with are Pastors who brow-beat their congregation with guilt to give 10% and turn the 10% tithe for Israel under the Old Covenant into a monetary, legalistic prescription for Christians under the New Covenant.
I once attended a church in which the new Pastor there handed out pledge cards for people to fill out so they can pledge to give extra money on a monthly basis over a three year period (above and beyond 10%) directly to the "moving forward" project to build a new mega church (that they didn't really need) and to this day never built.
More than a few people left that church because all that Pastor mainly talked about was money (primarily the 10% tithe) and building that new mega church. He even used marketing strategies to convince the congregation they needed to tithe 10%. During one sermon, he mentioned that a member of the church came into his office one day, somewhat irate and said that he is leaving that church because he is tired of hearing about money all the time and needs to find a church where he can go "deeper in the Word."
The Pastor mentioned to the congregation that the word "deeper" is a code word for "I'm not tithing 10%." The Pastor went on to say that he checked the records and sure enough that member of the church was not giving 10% and some months gave nothing at all and then acted like, "good riddance to him!" My wife and I left that church after listening to those ridiculous, broken record sermons about tithing 10%.

As I suspected, you created this thread as a pretext to promote Swaggart's material, as you do with most threads you create.
Nobody is buying what you're selling. The lack of responses in your other thread should be ample evidence of that.

Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (KJV)
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
It was for you and your family to eat and have a great time when in Jerusalem, The levites got a portion too. so they could party with you.
Remember in old testament all the tithes went to Jerusalem and if it was too far to go you had to sell your tithe of your flock and spend it on whatever yuo wanted to .

24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
So if Pastors want the Law of Tithe in place and they want to call their Church the new Jerusalem then set up some bbq and table.
Tithing was for the Law. Tithing under the Law was done once a year, and you could have given crops, or other goods, not only money.
Romans 10:4says,
"4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
Today we are in the Church age, and we do not have to give any crops today, if we do not want to. If you do, go ahead, but know that under the Law, you only tithed once a year, and you also could give food, not only money.
If you do not know already, forgiveness of sins comes through faith in the blood of Christ.
Romans 3:25 says,
"25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
Ephesians 2:8-9 says,
"8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 1:13 says,
"13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,"

yes, unless your church has a storehouse to bring your offerings ( produce livestock ) into, you ain't tithing like Malachi said..
Could be seen like that, but my main point is that in the Law you did not only have to give money. If you were a farmer, you could bring some of your grains, or crops.
Many people only preach on tithing pretty much, and they also give certain percentages that you have to give. Under the Law it was 10%, but today you could give 1% to 100% of what you have.
His point was valid....under the law 10% went straight to the priesthood anything above that was considered an offering. And we are not under the law....under the banner of Grace we purpose in our heart what to give and give it with a cheerful heart......simple as....and for the record I give 25 to 30% and the Lord has blessed me greatly.......
