Well,
I was at volleyball practice tonight and I got sick (my stomach hurt) and my parents believe it may be because of my diet.
I still eat fish, but here is what my normal diet is like (it's not good I know don't judge)

Breakfast, oatmeal sometimes maybe an apple
Lunch, nothing or a salad or chips
Dinner usually fish or salad, I try to change what I eat for dinner up but it is usually cooked at home.

Besides starting to eat breakfast and lunch (I already know I need to) what foods can I use that have protein and will keep me running for the day and sports?
 
Beans and rice make a complete protein and are good for you add cornbread and yum....
 
I was a vegetarian for 2 years . between running 5 miles and play 1-2 hours of full court basketball daily it can be tough on your body . I ate a ton of broccoli, spinach, i also took alot of workout supplements which i think made a huge difference cause now i don't take them anymore and everything hurts . Not sure if u drink milk but i remember getting some strong workouts when i drank milk in the morning . For some reason thou my body did Not like those protein bars. All they did for me was make me fat and feel bloated.

I do drink milk but I need to drink more milk I know that.

I think that for the morning I'm going to start making smoothies and adding protein in it.
I know it's not good to drink your calories but if it's only once a day.... plus it's a step up from not eating and gives me protein
 
Try Black Beans, Pinto, Northern and lentils are good too with your rice.... Black beans and yellow rice are good. Red beans and rice......they are all good...and season them with garlic the lentils you can make a stew with carrots, onions and cube potatoes add a can of tomatoes and so very good.....

A hot ham and cheese meal at Hardees. (For you, that would be Carl's Jr.) There's one at 14th and Harrison Road.

I think you should add something warm, it seems to me that everything (except of fish I suppose) you eat is cold. It is not good for stomach.

If you want protein, the best thing is just to buy a protein that is used by body-builders, it is not so expensive.

Or you can eat eggs, cheese, milk, meat :)

Also, for your rice are you doing white rice, or brown? I know white is more popular and brown, but brown is more nutritious. (It does take some getting used to, but it is very good once you do).

Get the natural protein if you are going to take it. I always have peanut butter and celery to get some protein throughout the day.

This will give you and idea of how much protein you need per lean body weight.

Sedentary 0.35 - 5 grams 113 x (0.35 to 0.5) = 40 to 57 grams
Moderately Active 0.6 - 0.8 grams 113 x (0.6 - 0.8) = 68 to 90 grams
Active 0.8 - 1.0 grams 113 x (0.8 - 1.0) = 90 to 113 grams
Very Active 1.0 or more grams 113 x (1.0 or more) = 113 grams
 
Unless you get too little protein from what else you eat, that exercise protein is a waste of money.

For a vegetarian athlete? I am afraid that, without eating meat, she would have to drink so much milk that it would be unhealthy, to get the protein she needs.

And some of the whey proteins for body-builders are not so expensive at all... depends on a branch.

And it is always better to waste some money than to waste health :) It would cost more money in the end.

True, I don't know how it works for vegetarians, but I know scientists are starting to say that most body builder wannabees waste money on protein powder (after all, it turns into fat if it isn't converted into muscle) :p

I have the ability to get a lot of protein from other foods, that isn't a huge problem unless you're a vegan especially if you eat fish and eggs and stuff.
I think my main problem may be calcium and not eating enough
 
anything that is 'white' and processed', another words, everything good and nutritious has been
depleted and taken out that could help feed and nourish you and strengthen you...you might
as well be eating a cardboard box,,...

just do your 'HOMEWORK'...
