Oh goodness. We are a Federal Republic and in our system of government law dictates the rights and responsibilities of citizens and non citizens. We even go as far as to say that the Constitution is the highest law of the land. Because our system of government is literally. Not symbolic, not perhaps, our system of government is literally characterized, based, authorized, and enforced by law and laws.
Because of such if you are hired at any level from local to Federal. Special or general law, if you are hired to enforce law, this is a hard one now. It makes you law enforcement. A individual who's job it is to enforce laws is law enforcement, shocker. Because we hire specialized enforcers for specialized laws. Follow me here, folks who job it is to enforce these laws.
