Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
ICE has been ordained of God and believers in the church are instructed to be subject to them.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
You have the right in this country, according to the US constitution to assemble and protest. You can voice your concern. However, you do not have the right to resist the ordinance of God. Those that resist, those that obstruct what ICE is doing, they shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Claiming that ICE is a terror to those who are doing good works is simply a lie. In many other states ICE has apprehended far more illegals without any incident. The only incidents are taking place with people actively resisting ICE. That is on them. It is shameful that any of these would claim to be Christians when the New Testament is crystal clear on what our stance should be and what it is permitted to be. You are permitted to protest, you are permitted to assemble and go to rallies. You are not permitted to threaten or to resist. What we are told to do by the apostle is to submit.
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Everything is being done in full view of videos. Everyone has their phone out and they are videotaping what is going on. The whole country can see what is happening in Minneapolis and 70% feel you should submit. If these videotapes were showing ICE behaving in a way that is evil they would not say that. On the contrary the only people who are behaving in a way that is evil are some of these involved with the protests.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Anyone claiming to be a Christian who is not being subject to the authorities, it raises serious questions about your conscience. You don't need to listen to me. But if you ignore the word of God and you ignore the Holy Spirit then your conscience will become seared.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Paul is saying that if you pay taxes you are funding this government. Since God has directed the believers to pay taxes it is further confirmation that you are to be subject to these authorities.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Just because you are permitted to protest and voice your opinion does not mean you are to treat the ICE officials in a way that is dishonourable. The insults, the curses, the foul language that is being spoken at these rallies is disgraceful and something that no genuine Christian should be part of.
