Father God’s satisfaction
IMO, Father God would have been satisfied IF a sinless human
sacrificed him/her self to take away the sins of the human race!
However, no one was qualified … so, because of His great love for
the human race (which He created), He came to earth and took the
form of a human, and He lived a sinless life, and died in their place.
The Incarnation (birth of Jesus)
The Holy Spirit miraculously created the fetus of Jesus Christ
in the womb of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18,20; Luke 1:35).
Father God was referring to Jesus when He said:
“You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.
… I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.” (Hebrews 1:5)
Jesus, the Son of God
God the Holy Spirit was Jesus’ Father >> this is why Jesus was called “the Son of God”.
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most
High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy,
and he will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, obviously did NOT exist prior to the Incarnation.
Jesus Christ was “fully man”
Years ago, a British lady doctor told me that a baby inherits the DNA of BOTH parents.
So, due to Mary’s DNA and her sin nature, Jesus Christ was “fully man”.
The Word became flesh-human-Jesus
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God.
… So the Word became human and made his home among us.” (John 1:1-14).
In the beginning, God the Word was actually the Second Person of the Trinity!
God the Word became Jesus (John 1:14) >>> so, He was “fully God”.
AFTER the Incarnation
“… the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen.
… He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us …
He was with the Father (in the beginning), and then he was revealed to us.” (1 John 1:1-2)
God the Word was revealed to the world as the God-Man (Jesus Christ, the Son of God).
And so, “… his title was the Word of God.” (Revelation 19:13)
“… to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
… Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.” (John 17:3-5)
Jesus is speaking here as the One who He knew He really was (God the Word).
“If a person … acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body,
that person has the Spirit of God.” (1 John 4:2)
“… many deceivers have gone out into the world.
They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body.” (2 John 7)
John is equating Jesus Christ with God the Word who became human (Jesus Christ).
