And yet, Peter was not saved yet like you and I. Did Peter have the Holy Spirit?
Yes exactly, eisegesis once again.
And yet, Peter was not saved yet like you and I. Did Peter have the Holy Spirit?
Jesus Christ is my salvation. I believed the gospel of Jesus Christ.
1. hear the gospel
2. believe the gospel
3. sealed by the Spirit
4. predestinated unto the adoption, the redemption of the body
The text does not tell us the reasons.
Of course. If he didn't, he wouldn't belong to Christ...Romans 8:9. Did he belong to Christ?
Salvation hasn't changed. It has always been by grace...Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord...through faith...Abraham believed God.
Imagine the state of being of someone who CHOOSES to remain inside their prison cell after SEAL Team Six rappels from a Black Hawk Helicopter, incapacitates the guards, gets the keys and opens the cell doors.Problem is: Those who lock onto illogical dogma have no keys hanging outside their cell, for others to help them to get out.
Someone threw away the keys.
Imagine the state of being of someone who CHOOSES to remain inside their prison cell after SEAL Team Six rappels from a Black Hawk Helicopter, incapacitates the guards, gets the keys and opens the cell doors.
Anyoo.......the takeaway I get from hearing the doomer Calvinite dogmatic droning is confirmation of my own freedom. Yup I got it. And I get it. I did indeed escape. Lucky me.
Feels like I won the lottery man.
Truth is truth. Simply because it is revealed at a later time doesn't make it less true before it is known. Did bacteria always exist or only come into existence when they were discovered? Were humans not always made up of cells or did this occur when cells were discovered? We are still discovering things inside a cell. Simply because God has revealed truth gradually through history doesn't mean the truths didn't already exist.@John146 is correct and how much later did the letter to Romans occur?
Too bad you are not.Amen, true to the teachings of Christ Jesus.
And did you open your own eyes, unstop your own ears, circumcise your ownJesus Christ is my salvation. I believed the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sure they were. Just because it wasn't revealed when they were alive doesn't mean they weren't. Jesus said Abraham saw His day and rejoiced in it.Yet, both Noah and Abraham were not predestined to be the Bride of Christ.
They were not chosen IN HIM before the foundation of the world to become the Lord's Helpmate.
We need to read what it says. Not what we want it to say.

God's sovereign decrees are necessary, not because of any mechanisms within him or constraints from without,
Truth is truth. Simply because it is revealed at a later time doesn't make it less true before it is known. Did bacteria always exist or only come into existence when they were discovered? One of us did. John isn't right. Salvation hasn't changed. God gradually introduced the truth concerning salvation. Salvation itself never changed.Me thinks you missed the point.
Who are "they"? Any you disagree with? Those you lie about? Can any of them ever state "God is Love"
Genesis 3:15One of us did. John isn't right. Salvation hasn't changed. God gradually introduced the truth concerning salvation. Salvation itself never changed.
Right on target sister. You possess expert marksmanship.I am always impressed how they have the same expressions, similar rhetoric... they sound like John Calvin.
"God's sovereign decrees"
Can any of them ever state "God is Love" without the proverbial coordinating conjuction .... "but"
They became "aware they were saved" .... how does that work.
That "special gnosis" and avoidance of stating any personal persuasion of hearing and believing.
If CDS does exists, perhaps it is because of how they have made what was once regarded a peripheral doctrine not supported by scripture into a acceptable doctrine to so many over time.
But it is a glorious thing to be released from that dogmatism, I concur.
Sure they were. Just because it wasn't revealed when they were alive doesn't mean they weren't. Jesus said Abraham saw His day and rejoiced in it.
What is The Word of God?
John 1
Yes. Abraham rejoiced with the same rejoicing as John the Baptist. You do not comprehend what it means to be the Bride of Christ.
John the Baptist was to remain being an OT Jew.
He knew he was not going to be the Bride which would mean he would have to remain alive to live in the Church age.
Here are John's words!
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. John 3:29
John knew he was the friend of the Bridegroom, not the Bride of Christ.
There is it is! Read what He told us...
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. John 3:29
grace and peace .............
Someone wrote a book about learning all they needed to know about life they learned in kindergarten. All anyone needs to learn about salvation can be found in Genesis:Genesis 3:15![]()
