Is this a prophecy?

It is Isaiah 9:6!
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Do you happen to know what prophecy is next for us? Could it the rapture?

God is One but we will trip and bust up our knees to make that into a clause that includes the number 3. Sometimes it almost seems idolic how people act to stamp the triunity about God. But indeed Oneness in the Holy sense of a Holy God seems very comforting to me. Besides, it's absolutely Biblical.

Sure.

The Bible says that, through marriage, I am "one flesh" with my wife. That's not scientifically accurate. So, our "oneness" must be measured by different principles than those of natural observation.

So. The oneness theory is Jesus was talking, being baptized and decending like a dove all at the same time at His baptism. He was praying to Himself at Gethsemene and poured wrath upon Himself on the cross while asking Himself why He had forsaken Himself. Sorry guys but im not buying.

Right?! It has to be something else. Jesus didn't do anything for show or theater.

The Rapture is the only prophecy given to the Church.
There is no prophecy given that must take place before it happens.

The Rapture could come at any moment.
According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive,
who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede
those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down
from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel
and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together
with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be
with the Lord forever.
Therefore, encourage one another with these words. 1 Thes 4:15-18

Those who deny the Rapture?
They are out to DISCOURAGE Christians.
Mark them if they do.
Even if they have a smiley face!

Grace and peace!

The Oneness theory has God being suicidal on the Cross.

Please don't make this another thread about the rapture.

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are One.

Concerning the trinity... the Father, the Son, and the Spirit... are One!

Pretty hard to explain away something scripture clearly tells us which is... One is Three, and the Three are One.

In fact.... you and I are three that is one (we are a spirit, we possess a soul, and we live in a body)

1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After all... the Lord did create man in His Own Image.

Genesis 1:26
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness

That's the Father, the Word, and the Spirit saying "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness"

I was asked a question.
A good one.
Please allow the Spirit to take us where He wills.
He will always keep us in a right order.

You're assuming you hear the Spirit better than I?

If that is the case are you not to give deference to the younger/weaker?

Philippians 2:6 actually says "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God."

The grammar is unusual. It means that His standing with God, being the same, was not something He used to His advantage.

See how that sounds?

2. Jesus did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (Philippians 2:6).
Question: How best can we describe the Trinity without using the word "equal"?

That's all for now. Thank you.

Philippians 2:6?

It starts off saying he is God.
Then states that being as God was not something he would violently grasp for.
Because? He had to let go!

Some translations rendered it…
"Did not consider it robbery" .... because of how he would have held on violently if he chose not to do it.

Why?
Because he needed to "let go" of being God in power, and had to enter a state foreign to Him... of weakness, being as a man.

Here is how the Amplified Bible rendered it.

Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness
of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be
eagerly grasped or retained.

He was letting go of being as God in power! Why? He was God!

grace and peace ........

It was only for a moment.
If it continues, then I will then guide that person to a different thread.

I was asked a question.
I answered it.

Now relax.
