Good catch. Luke 10:18 Satan was cast from heaven. He no longer has access.

He was cast out at the destruction of the first creation.

Lucifer used to have great light bearing ability.
He was said to be the great angel light bearing angel that would herald in the morning light.

When he was cast out it was like lightning!

And, guess what?
The theory that a great asteroid hitting earth made prehistoric animals extinct?
Was no a meteor!
It was Lucifer smacking into the earth after being cast out of heaven!

Everything written is there for a reason.

It says we wrestle against satanic forces in the heavenlies, so it makes no sense to say that satan has been ejected from heaven.

It says we wrestle against satanic forces in the heavenlies, so it makes no sense to say that satan has been ejected from heaven.
Exactly....

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms".
Ephesians 6:12

He was cast down to earth in the dinosaur days... To destroy that creation.

But, he still resides in heaven as the accusing attorney against God's people.

When God first created, made, formed mankind, emotions were included. God said He saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good (Gen 1:31).

The problem the born again one has is when emotions are allowed to control him or her rather than bringing than emotions under control of Holy Spirit within.

Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God knows we can get angry ... or anxious ... or happy ... or excited ... however, God also gives instruction so we can keep our emotions in check. We don't have to let our emotions bring us to the point where we are drawn away from the Lord. We can acknowledge the emotion and respond appropriately as we bring our emotions under the control of Holy Spirit within.
.

Yet, for me I take no credit in control of them, For me God gets all the credit in teaching me this truth to stand in the midst of everything, Thanks for the scriptures on the truth. I am learning daily and getting reminders such as this post, thank you

Adam and Eve did not have truth of what is good or evil, before eating from that tree of good and evil, did not eat from the tree of Life, Jesus Christ yet. And that tree got guarded until the risen Son for us to stand in belief to and eat from. God Father through risen Son, we get to see through it all and learn new from Father in Father's spirit and Truth, in true love and mercy for all. thank you for the post, God leads not anyone else, not even me Phil 3:1-20, especially my first born flesh. Learning this truth deeper and wider and higher easily from God in love and mercy to me from God for me and all the world of people too. This call is for us all to choose, not a have to, if have to, then there is no free choice to choose then is there?
God loves everyone the same through Son that died to the Law in our places for us to be given new in the risen Life, once anyone between God and them believe God in this truth, thank you Father and Son, John 1:29, 19:30
John 4:23-24. If one, anyone has no conscience, then one might want to check in with Father, PaPa, Dad, not having true love in them, thanks
The first born flesh only cares for whomever that flesh chooses to care for, when Father and Son cares for us all, having no respect od anyone as better than anyone else ever.

You cannot trick Satan, he's the father of lies, he's the king of the deceived. You can however, remind him about the truth of his destiny and about how Saint Michael the Archangel shall cast him down and make him know his life is short, praise Jesus.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.

Revelation 12:10

Why does God allow for Satan to do that?

.
Revelation 12:10 calls Satan the accuser of the brothers and sisters, showing us that for a time God allows him to bring accusations against His people. This may seem hard to understand, but the Scriptures give us the reason.

From the story of Job we see that Satan was allowed to come before God and accuse Job, saying he only served God for blessings (Job 1:9–11). God permitted this so that Job’s faith could be tested and proven genuine. In the same way, when Satan accuses today, it reveals whether God’s people truly love Him and remain faithful, even in trials. It also shows the difference between Satan’s lies and God’s truth, because Satan uses accusations to condemn, while Jesus intercedes to save. Jesus explained that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but He came to give life more abundantly (John 10:10). Satan’s words aim to destroy, but Christ’s blood and intercession cover and defend those who belong to Him. John wrote that if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1), meaning that even when Satan speaks against us, his words cannot stand because Christ has already paid the price.

God allows this accusing for a time until His plan is complete, but the vision in Revelation shows the end: the accuser is hurled down, salvation and the kingdom of God are revealed in full, and no voice of accusation will ever rise again against the faithful (Revelation 12:10).

Satan is hurled down to earth at the time of the Tribulation.

He knows his time is "short."

Ok?

yes ... God is the One Who works within the born again believer to bring him or her to maturity in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4 tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ is Head over His body ... the body of believers ... and He provides what is needed so that each believer is equipped and able to function within the body so that the body of Christ is built up in love.

Ephesians 4:

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. )

11 And he [the Lord Jesus Christ] gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

vss 8-12 – the Lord Jesus Christ gave the gift ministries ... for the perfecting of the saints which means to teach God's Word so that believers are fully equipped to stand ... for the work of the ministry which means to teach so that believers are able to speak the truth of God's Word in ministering to others ... for the edifying of the body of Christ which means to teach so that believers build up and strengthen the body of Christ.

vs 13 – the Lord Jesus Christ gave the gift ministries ... til we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ which means for the duration of this lifetime we have on earth as we will not meet the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ until we see Him face to face.

vs 14 – the Lord Jesus Christ gave the gift ministries ... so that we are fully trained in the truth of God's Word ... no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive ... we have an adversary who is crafty and deceitful and the only way we can stand, withstand, and be victorious over his schemes is by knowing God's Word (not man's word). The Lord Jesus Christ, in standing against the wiles of the devil, defeated satan by claiming it is written (see Matt 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13).

vss 15-16 – the Lord Jesus Christ gave the gift ministries ... so that the believers speak the truth in love and thereby grow up (mature) in Him – He is the Head of His body and we either grow in Him and participate in the process, or we remain weak and ineffective. However, it is clear that every believer is to supply according to the effectual working in the measure of every part. Each believer is to join together to edify and increase in the body of Christ to build up the body in love.

That is how the believers work together to overcome the wiles of the devil even as he accuses day and night.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The born again believer can walk according to the flesh (the old man) ... or according to the Spirit (the new man). We are instructed in Scripture to put off the old man (Eph 4:22; Col 3:9) and put on the new man (Eph 4:24; Col 3:10). As we put off the old and put on the new, we will mature in the new and the old will not have as much influence over us to draw us away from the Lord. This is a lifelong endeavor from the time a person is born again until the time he or she sees the Lord face to face. Your moniker "homwardbound" (which is a great moniker btw) ... when we reach that "home" is when we will no longer have to struggle with that old man.

yep ... flesh care for flesh.

new man within cares for the things of God. if we focus on loving God, He will work within us so we are loving to others as well.

There is a difference between what Job faced then and what we face in our day and time. Job had no clue what satan was up to. On the other hand, we know who the accuser is; we know his antics, his tactics. And we can learn from Job ... how he endured the suffering and how God blessed Job in the end.

Additionally, we have the One Who overcame the wicked one living within us. We also can come to the throne of God and find grace and mercy in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

You can not give what you do not have.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it
to the full.

We are not to give life more abundantly.
He wants us to have it!

For too many Christians, it is a phony act.
They do not yet have enough knowledge and understanding to be able to walk in the Life God wants to give.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate
and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Matthew was not saying only a few find salvation.
For many do, and will!

But, that only a few will find the road God provided that leads a believer into entering into the Life more Abundantly.
It is called by some, 'the Supergrace Life.'
Finding oneself walking in Greater Grace! James 4:6

Whoever you pick?
He must to be an excellent pastor teacher to supply what is required by God to qualify.
Only a few will qualify! Most pulpits will be spiritual junk food. The Bible says so!
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great
number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3

God does not play games.
Pretentious teachers who act brave, but are stupid, are not going to supply what is needed.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight."

i may not have the proper answer but this is what i think: the fact that satan rules on earth gives humanity a chance to learn to make the right decisions. 1 of them being, we have the power thru God, to cast him out. also, God has appointed a certain time for earth to be in existence as we know it & He's not going to change His mind. i'm reminded of 2nd Corinthians 12:9- "& said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee. for my strength is made perfect in weakness, most gladly, therefore, would i rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me".
I think if you read Job you'll see Satan is ruler of Earth, lord here, because God gives him that role, permission.

I think if you read Job you'll see Satan is ruler of Earth, lord here, because God gives him that role, permission.
Satan no longer has the keys to death and hell, he has been cast out of heaven, and is impotent to stop Jesus from building His church. Doesn't sound to me that he is large and in charge.

Satan is hurled down to earth at the time of the Tribulation.

He knows his time is "short."

Ok?

When the Lord lowered himself from heaven to earth, he even made Himself lower than the angels.

Heb 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

When Satan accused the brethren he did actually have a case, look at Israel, look at David, look at Noah they all succumbed to sin and are all unworthy of heaven. "Lord look guilty filthy human beings"

Then the Lord joined us he became like a worm and dwelt amoung us as one of us.

Satan is now infuriated that the Lord would come not just as messiah/salvation but as a brother for humans and become family.

Satan was warned not to go into heaven by Isaiah

"You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain."

Yet he did and a war ensued and Satan and a third of the angels who rejected Christs mission, were cast down to earth, hence all the demonic activity that now takes place at the time Christ was a man on earth.

and now the good news we are now recipients of Gods grace, we have victory through Christ and the cross, now Satan cant accuse us anymore we are no longer clothed in filthy rags but are washed clean and now clothed in Christ.

Satan the strong man is now bound, now the Lord can take the treasures of the world (thats us by the way) and take us back home to be with Him.

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.

So in my view Satan is not cast out of heaven with a third of the angels in the tribulation but is released and comes up from the pit with a third of the angels who sinned.

Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

Rev 9: 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

And just so we know that the angel here is Satan we are told in both H

And just so we know that the angel here is Satan we are told in both H

I dont think there will be two groups of demons with a king/ruler over each group in the tribulation period for the bible gives two witnesses that the king of the bottomless pit is Satan, we have both the Hebrew and the Greek words for the destroyer, Hebrew Old Testment, In Eygpt Satan the destroying angel during the passover killed all the firstborn.

And in Greek, New Testament, Jesus came to give us life, but Satan came to kill, steal and destroy.

.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.

Revelation 12:10

Why does God allow for Satan to do that?

.
It's Diffacult to know if a person is being decieved by satan as a satan can cite scripture to, and he puts his own spin on it

Half truths half lies.

Its when you have to use discernment and be prudent.

So if you read Paul it suggests he was given a messenger of Satan but Christians will say no he was attacked by satan.

So when you try to understand that, and see truth in that, you then have to wonder was Paul writings complete ? Was he just writing his thoughts down.

Or is it possible Paul was being decieved thinking God was allowing it ?

Well when it's comes to demons they can trick you for a short time or a long time depending upon how much knowledge you can gain,

But what I really believe is this for any Christian who knows there is a demon there God has given grace to let them know they are there.

Because time and time again I come across people who dont even know they are listening to the devil
