Thanks .. context here matters. What was Paul talking before verse 19? Paul in this letter emphasized the ongoing role of the spirit in the life of believers. Paul contrasted the sinful flesh and its desires with the Spirit and His work. These are constantly clashing with each other So Paul warned the Galatian believers to be on guard lest in the process of senseless controversy brought on by the Judaizers they would be devoured by such sinful activity.
Some teach this is about how one can lose salvation.. I don't see that here " inherit the kingdom of God ". "Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” My guess is Paul was talking to them who said Jesus is lord yet did not "depart from iniquity". Not talking being tempted or stuck in sin.. its freely walking in these things. So who are you? As its written the new man or the old? All that sin is still in the old man which loves to sin. The new man does not aka walk in the spirit you will nut fulfill the lust of the flesh.
But back to the top.. talking about what these "sins/flesh" are.. I find it better as he did .. to walk in the spirit you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh "But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. " Do you know how to walk in the spirit is what matters here. ". See to whom was Paul talking and why?
