Uh, yeah.

I give to my church which has ongoing food support programs.

I give to our local food shelf, not just monetarily, but I also volunteer there every week.

I won't give beggars in the street money, but I will buy them a meal.

I also support homeless programs. And health care programs for the poor.

See, not all of us Christians are hypocritical.

How 'bout you???

yes, i give to pretty much the same type things, my church, local and some national charities as well.

It doesn't explicitly state that.

The Bible DOES support the idea of "state" and "gov't" in the verses where it says God appoints rulers over us, and to render unto Caesar what is Caesars.

So then it falls to the purpose of gov't.

The intent of gov't is to provide communal services in cases where individual provisions are inefficient (not that gov't itself hasn't become horribly inefficient). It is also intended to fill the gap where individuals fail their charge to provide for the common welfare (again, not that gov't currently succeeds at it's intended purposes).

Biblically, the purpose of government is to fulfill man's requirements spoken by God to Noah after the flood in Genesis.

Handing off the work of the church to the state is why our country is such a catastrophe.

Very true ... but I would also say a lot of churches abandoned their work for the state to take care of.

Church work suffers the same fatal flaw as unfettered capitalism and the state ... human greed.

This guy pulls one of DeSantis' US Navy Evals to "expose" DeSantis "secret Navy career" as an assistant urinalysis coordinator to mock DeSantis for doing a TOP GUN parody....

Liberals have no sense of humor.

On top of that, I'm pretty sure that it's required to have done something in the Urinalysis program at some point in your career to get promoted past LT...

It would be one thing if this guy was Joking around- but he's not... he's cherry picking facts to make up scandals; and using professionals to paint a picture of something that isn't there. He's lying.

Well, all Christians can do really is either vote for the lesser of 2 evils which would be Trump... or, not vote
at all which is what I'm doing since I cannot vote for either of these scumbags with a clean conscience.
 
It’s inevitable I guess. Some people aren’t interested in spiritual things, but get on these forums anyway.
