What in the world are you thinking saying this "instead" stuff? Are you trying to use the law, not as a guide to living with the Lord in your heart but as a way to be saved? If that is you idea, it will not work.
No. I made a simple, direct statement.
No mention of salvation, justification, or "guide". Nor did I mention "instead".
I said once people receive Gods Grace they are delivered from that Law of sin and death.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Rest from what?
Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Another simple, and direct statement. Pretty self-explanitory.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
For people who are "using" the law as a "guide".
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Further instruction to
NOT use the law as a "guide".
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Isn't it great?
