Get a bottle of nitrogen from a welding supply house. Attach a regulator setting it for just a couple of pounds. Then just a little puff by a rubber hose at the bottom under the food is all it takes to flush all the moisture and oxygen out before you vacuum seal the bag.okay, I'm afraid to ask but on behalf of all of us who are not as savvy as you with all these trick/tip know hows................
HOW?
Oops....uh...... I only could eat 6...THOSE LOOK AMAZING!
Post a picture when they are cooked if you can, please!
Considering the circumstances, I can't blame you lol Good food never lasts long around me either!Oops....uh...... I only could eat 6...
There's leftovers but they don't look as pretty.
They really needed bacon bits.
I also should have fried them in two batches instead of one in my 14" frypan. But I was in a hurry. (Fry them in plenty of butter)
So maybe next time for the pic....
We have an Amish community near here with a a great store selling bulk foods and such, they have 25lb and bigger bags of dry beans , rice, etc.
I am tempted by the bag of Garbanzo's, I heard a couple ladies speaking of combinations of grains and/or beans that can provide complete proteins, but don't recall right now, a good subject to research.
It seems dried egg powder would be a good source and very reasonable.
Sort of, there is still plenty of food at the grocery store, however, there are also a lot of things missing. The selection is very skimpy. Vegetables which are grown in the US are not really showing any shortages.Wow, I'm surprised people are still here. lol I've been picking up cold meds and thinking in that direction now. I don't have any pill that I have to take, but my parents and hubby do. That's worrying me a little. Anyone seeing any shortage in your stores?
True wholesale meat is a chunk of money.Wisconsin has a LOT of Amish communitires, would be great to check them out for bargains on bulk supplies,
A lot of livestock is sold in the fall to cut down on chores, picking up a quarter of beef or a hog and cutting it up could help the budget a lot.
Get a live cow and "do it all yourself"?! Are you secretly promoting people to become Vegans? And right now it's cheaper to actually get a whole live one and do it all yourself.
