We have a thing that's pretty much the same, though, called Kinder Joy. It's like, $4 an egg. :eek:
My kids bug me for them all the time (made the mistake of buying one of them ONCE).
 
In NZ we have cadbury creme eggs but I never liked them.

Chinese have what they call one thousand year old eggs (but they arent really)

Moon cakes are very expensive if you buy them ready made and they have a yolk inside. I never liked the yolks inside moon cakes! You can also buy square moon cakes which is silly because the moon is meant to be round.

My favourite egg dish is egg and tomato.
I like eggs scrambled or fried. Or 'egg fu yong' but I tend to make an omlette with garlic chives.

Quiches require too many eggs. A friend had me over for dinner in which she made a bacon and egg pie but I think the ratio of eggs to bacon needs to be a bit more. Pigs used to be treated worse than battery hens by unscrupulous farmers. Thankfully thats been banned now but people need to be aware of where their food comes from and how its raised.

It doesnt just come from thin air...an animal gave its life for you.
 
I wonder if many people have even seen a cacao tree where chocolate comes from. Or how they get sugar from sugar cane...the process of making sugar used to be dependant on slave labour.
 
I paid $7.99 for a dozen extra large free run brown eggs, and then they fell out of the bag into the
trunk of my car where they spent eighteen hours .:oops::censored::unsure::giggle:. But they were fine when I fetched
them yesterday morning, and I had three with melted cheese, turkey sausage links, and green olive
loaf for breakfast earlier today. .:D. Even @ 8 dollars a dozen, that is a relatively inexpensive meal. .:D

I may have been able to get them cheaper than where I was shopping at the time,
but I take time and convenience into consideration while shopping, as well as price.

Hello again. I bought a carton of eighteen eggs today for under $6.00. I think it was $5.69 and was checking
my bill to give you an accurate price, but it seems the cashier neglected to charge me for my eggs! I also
mentally tried to guess what my groceries cost before I was told the total, guessing between fifty and
sixty dollars; the total was almost exactly halfway between those two numbers, @ $55.59 = Free eggs!
 
I got eggs from a chicken coop before, hate it. I worked for a chicken plant before, double hated it. I still eat chicken after knowing how it is processed, fazed and confused.

for everything else there is Arby’s
 
about 6 months of the year we have to buy eggs. the other 6 months our chickens produce them for us, some small, some huge.

for about 30 years, i added each package of food so when i got to the cashier, i knew what the total would be.

I can't be bothered to do that. I don't usually buy that much at once any more, so it is usually around thirty dollars I might
spend at a time, or forty, but that time I bought a few extra things, and my guesstimate was really just a stab in the dark LOL
 
Hopefully when millions of birds are once again start singing cheep cheep cheep, so will the cost of eggs become cheep cheep cheep. 😊
