So I was asked a question and that question was how do you know you have the holy spirit?

For some I have seen they know because they can feel him when they are saved, my instance when I was saved was not merely believing I recieved him I literally jumped out of bed and was dancing around my room with a joy unlike anything I had ever known but the life that is in it the power that you feel coursing through you there is no mistake you have the holy spirit

But others do not experience this and it can lead to one asking how to know if they have it
does the spirit interact with everyone the same way? if one has to ask if they have it then do they have it to begin with? these are questions that one might have if they have not experienced him in the most powerful way imaginable and to be honest I don't know for sure if one has to experience him in such a powerful way to know they have him maybe some never do experience it yet have him anyways?

But in my own opinion the fruits of the spirit are how one knows for sure they are changed renewed in heart and mind and the love they have for people is the most profound evidence that they have him.

I spoke to the Lord and He spoke to me too.
I don't hear Him audibly, but faith cometh by hearing the Word of God.
When I asked Him questions earlier, He immediately answered by bringing me straight to the sentences in my Bible.
That is building my faith.
I don't know if anyone else believes that because it's crickets when I testify of this in my sermons. There are no questions or normal exclamation I'd expect in conversation either in many cases. I'm not sure why?

Some day, we will see Him as He is face to face. Then it will be by sight. Right now we walk with Him by faith.

It is amazing how he does that isn't it? sometimes I will be talking to him and he brings to my memory or at least a vague idea of it a certain scripture that is exactly what I needed to read.

I have memory issues so memorizing scripture is not my forte but he does bring to my mind an idea of a verse I had read then I search for that verse and it hits you like a wall how precise it is to the situation

Yes faithis how we see and hear him rarely ever does he speak outloud but when he does you know it is important

Yes exactly!

I was praising Him for talking to me like that. Then it occurred to me that the LORD is my reward.
I was so happy to think about that when I went to the other room. Then I was compelled to go back to my Bible in the living room. I opened it up to Isaiah and He immediately brought my eyes to the phrase in 58:8!

"The LORD shall be thy reward."

I'm really glad that He speaks to you this way too!

You are actually one of the first people that I have spoken to that hears him in this way, most people either never speak of it or they just don't hear him like that. I don't believe in accidents so every verse I happen to come upon I imediently assume he trying to say something to me even if the verse is say posted by another user to win a debate every scripture is meant for our good

I want to be able to speak with him as if he is face to face with me but he tends to not do it that way he is very subtle in the way he communicates rarely ever do I get a direct message from him and the way he reveals himself is also very subtle

Except for some rare occasions like when I met him he appeared to me as a flame made entirely of rainbow colors so vivid and beautiful as if the colors themselves were alive and burning if colors could burn like a flame that is how he appeared to me and he spoke to my spirit like his words I could actually feel impact my spirit as if not just verbal utterings but a solid piercing thing

Amen.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us as indicated in the scriptures I pointed out in my first message. Infact, because He dwells in us, we bear His fruits .As expressed in the Scriptures ( Galatians 5:22-23)
I once had a dream when God was telling me to make the Holy Spirit my friend. I prayed that prayer and I always feel His presence.
God's calling upon my life is intercession and I can't stand praying without feeling His presence everyday of my life.

I have not had intercession in a long time but I have done it and yes it is a very important calling and you are close to the holy spirit more so than I apparently lol but I am glad for you because you have a gift that is greatly needed

Yes these are all good ways to know you have him in you, but say that you were being asked how to know you have him in you by antoher person what would say to them to prove you have him in you? like what evidence would you be able to give?
The more I think about this, I believe your being asked questions by somebody using circular reasoning, I would turn it around on him or her and ask them to not prove the holy spirit is real.

circular reasoning by unbelievers argue that you say the bible is true but can't prove it. So the unbelievers are saying Christians just walk around in circles of circular reasoning

You then say well prove it's not true and you turn around there circular reasoning on them.

Yeah that makes sense the thing about that though is that if I do ask them to prove I don't have it they obviously can't but it feels like a cop out because technically as much as they cannot prove I don't have him I also cannot prove I do so it doesn't really change anything

If I cannot provide evidence for it but I also cannot provide evidence against it then it just literally goes in circles and nothing gets resolved

The only way to deal with circular reasoning is to turn it around on them and make them see there circular reasoning,

Because that's what's there doing to you, there arguing that your using circular reasoning.
