Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 1 Cor 1:2 (KJV)
Eh? You do realize this has nothing to do with that and that he is specifically speaking to the church of Corinthians here right? where does it say that all who believe in Jesus have the holy ghost here? in fact take a look at this one Mathew 7 21:23 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

They believed in him here but even with that he said he never knew them in fact they believed in him so much they casted out demons performed miracles but he called them practicers of lawlessness

So I was asked a question and that question was how do you know you have the holy spirit?

For some I have seen they know because they can feel him when they are saved, my instance when I was saved was not merely believing I recieved him I literally jumped out of bed and was dancing around my room with a joy unlike anything I had ever known but the life that is in it the power that you feel coursing through you there is no mistake you have the holy spirit

But others do not experience this and it can lead to one asking how to know if they have it
does the spirit interact with everyone the same way? if one has to ask if they have it then do they have it to begin with? these are questions that one might have if they have not experienced him in the most powerful way imaginable and to be honest I don't know for sure if one has to experience him in such a powerful way to know they have him maybe some never do experience it yet have him anyways?

But in my own opinion the fruits of the spirit are how one knows for sure they are changed renewed in heart and mind and the love they have for people is the most profound evidence that they have him.
having full conviction for his word would be one way to know becoming imitators of Christ is another, and longing for his return is another.

Having the goodness of the lord in you, and holding your peace is another along with being obedient...

Having respect for yourself and others along with having a caring nature, seeking him for answers and getting them, is right up there to 🙂

Yes these are all good ways to know you have him in you, but say that you were being asked how to know you have him in you by antoher person what would say to them to prove you have him in you? like what evidence would you be able to give?

ok but how is that saying all who call upon him have the spirit in them? in fact this part in prarticular seems to be speaking something else entirely it says nothing about the spirit indwelling of the spirit but rather is speaking of something else a different subject entirely

to me that would be enough, but to be able to convince somebody, well I know many ways but I would have to know why they need convincing,

It could be whole bunch of reason as to why, what ones are you speaking about ?

Well I was asked by another person on another site I frequent amdt got me thinking how does one prove they have the holy spirit and how would one know if they have him?

If you have the Holy Spirit (are saved), then walk according to the Holy Spirit and just be yourself.

... it says nothing about the spirit indwelling of the spirit ...
It says who he's addressing; Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place ... 1 Cor 1:2 (KJV)
And then he tells them: ... know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you ... 1 Cor 6:19 (KJV)

It's sound people have implied your not spirit led in the last, is that the issue here ?

I don't see how you can prove such a thing on the internet.

When you get to know people face to face you know 🙂 you either see goodness in them or you don't

no that isn't the issue it is actually online that I was asked about it on another site I frequent but as for proving it well online may be more difficult without the gift of discernment but not impossible

If you’re saved, then you have the Holy Spirit.

... if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:9

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:39

Therefore being justified by faith ,,, the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:1-5

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 2 Cor 5:5

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Cor 6:18-19

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:16-17

More like a head ache, but The grand design of everything more than suggests a creators

the way in which people life's get transformed is Another,

Many people witnessing, and bare testimony to all kinds of spiritual events and happenings,

But to believers of the wrong kind, they may just put down your beliefs to a personal experience no matter what you say.
.
In my experience God has all kinds of ways of letting a person know he's real m, which suggests each person has a personal walk.

I learnt to ask the Holy Spirit about everything for guidance and it's really good that we have a counsellor, comforter and never alone as expressed in ( John 16: 13, John 14: 16-18). He guides us in truth which is His word and He dwells in us. Drawing closer to God makes His ( the Holy Spirit 's) voice clearer. What a blessing!

The Gospel is also the power to save, so encouraging people to read the gospels is probably a Good way to go, by informing them his word is a live and active and gives life, in helping your heart to be changed.

Sure, the Holy Spirit speaks to us in dreams too. I have experienced this a number of times especially if there's something you need to make a decision on.

I want to be able to speak with him as if he is face to face with me but he tends to not do it that way he is very subtle in the way he communicates rarely ever do I get a direct message from him and the way he reveals himself is also very subtle

Except for some rare occasions like when I met him he appeared to me as a flame made entirely of rainbow colors so vivid and beautiful as if the colors themselves were alive and burning if colors could burn like a flame that is how he appeared to me and he spoke to my spirit like his words I could actually feel impact my spirit as if not just verbal utterings but a solid piercing thing

Yes all things work out for our good this is something that is a simple truth a common one yet we tend to forget sometimes and allow circumstances to overwhelm us
and what Jesus had to go through is beyond what anyone has ever had to go through I was talking about this with a friend and he said to watch the passion of the Christ but I simply cannot stomach it from what I have heard the gore in it is so bad people have thrown up seeing it but that is of course what Jesus had to go through

I trust for God to reveal what I have written to all that read it all, to see truth over the errors here in the world still, thanks Blain and all in sincere belief also, as well as those that will choose belief to God too, some day, if not yet have or are willing yet.
God knows best when to reveal to as God knows best. Jeremiah 29:11

People, with supersensitive emotions, I see, can't face tragedies.Yet can learn to.
What? How? by Father's lead through them. I am sensitive myself. Then God began teaching me new, in facing truth.
I used to look up. then down with a frown
Now, by God I am facing face forward, now! I am saying, that is the original from God to us all, first birth before the fall of Adam the first. We were, Adam then was perfect and God restores this perfection in us humbly Ezekiel 36:26
With looking up, I am hoping God to be with me,(When God is, not only with me , is now through Son with everyone) John 19:30, Jesus's work completed for the flesh to be reconciled. Time to turn to God and say thank you I am reconciled by you 2 Cor 5:16-22
Some are saved, many on their way, and some not accepted God yet. God does not stop, in love and mercy for us all. Proven to me by Son as risen. We, all at that cross are forgiven by God through Son, that is finished John 19:30. New life ready to get installed by God Father in risen Son for all that beleive and do not dance around it, with maybe's, should have, better do better, that is the flesh nature at work that cannot please God ever, Romans 8:3 after Christ won for us all Romans 8:1-3
I can stop, cede , and see new everyday, one day at a time, no more expecting this or that to be done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just living one day at a time. That is te call to stand in the present second. Stop the mind from living in past and future. renewing Romans 12:2
What???????????????? Expectations of any future, steals, kills and destroys people John 10:10a
Watch out, here comes the leaven of the religious leaders. I expect to not sin? What happens in the expectation? Now lets look at what happens, when my expectation(s) come true? does pride take one for a ride?, what if they do not, does guilt enter and God does not accept me?
There is where Romans 7 now gets seen on the scene
I become guilty and proud, over and over again and again. "I" am in the lead and am a person better than others or guilty and need their support. Luke 18:9-14, trapped in this flesh body, that is revealing to me I am not perfect and I need God to not only live in me, rather through me Luke 21:14-15
The only thing I see is, being forgiven by God that saves me. To add to do or have to do, even I better do, puts me in competition. Taught that from first birth of flesh, to be better than others, and then show care to others and get them to do better as I have done or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Acting like the Corinthians did, I can do and not care if I harm others, since by God I am forgiven by God. that is the reason Paul wrote to them. I could not see it until I read the entire Epistle and then the 2 Cor. 7, where Paul said they repented finally. And only once in retrospect to a loving God. They changed their minds and did love to all, Stopped drinking. all the wine and eating all the food, as well as other things they were doing. Care took over
Even as King David, when he repented, it was to God. Not only had me done wrong to the people, more importantly to God

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one, even the Prophets were ever perfect, none of them, not of self ever, By God yes! Not the self, seeing why Paul wrote Phil 3 now.

I can't, God and Son did. God saves, I can't, God does, I can rest now, Hebrews 4:9-13
Thank you Father and Son as Won (One)
