I always wondered why the AR-10 was that much bigger and heavier than the AR-15.... Ruger has since proven that the 7.62 (308) can be chambered in a smaller rifle... basically the same size as the AR-15...

Given that fact, the only reason for going to the 5.56 would be the ability to carry more ammo.

I've always thought that the Russians had a better compromise in the 7.62X39... quite a bit more power than the 5.56, but still about the same in the "ammo carrying" department.

I looked for a durability test and found this article.

I finally got a chance to try my handloads in my M1 carbine (1944 Inland) I made the necessary tweaks to the rear sight, to keep it from drifting around, and, for an 81yr old rifle, with my almost 71yr old eyesight, it does pretty good at 50 yards....

Welp, I tried facebook for the first time. I lasted 4 days before they banned me because I was talking about shooting birds with a pellet gun.

Its kinda funny how you have to report people that post ugly photos before they do anything but if you mention guns in some obscure group they go 1984 on you.

I won't be back.

I wish you well. Its funny how you can't talk about guns but if you watch tv its like 10 guns shown per second.

Fair point. I’m member of a FB group about guns, and the mods have been forced to make all kinds of ridiculous rules for the members. It’s like a minefield. One wrong word and you’re out.

That's gotta be way up there with the heaviest recoiling shoulder mounted small arms. He has a good video explaining how he mitigates the recoil in different ways to be manageable. If you do a search with that key term on his channel, it should come up.

What's funny is how loud the target gongs when he hits close. It must be a bunch of rocks kicking up from the ground hitting it.

This kid is a pretty good shot. Hitting flying targets and sitting ones with a shotgun but seeing a teen farm kid to be that good is pretty fun too watch.

Congratulations!

Hope it's what you hoped for.
I've never fired a Turkish firearm, but have looked online and at a friend's shop where he used to carry them and some antique military collectables. It was like a little museum.

That pistol review looks like it's ergonomic, good features and a hard to beat price. What do you think about it?

Like it a lor already, will fire it soon, probably dry, the clean it and lube the shiny spots, it may be one considered self lubing?
it's pretty much a Turkish CZ, Sarsilmad (SP?) has been making weapons since 1840 I think.
Some models I have heard need a change to Wolff Springs to run happy.:)(y):coffee:

CZs are known for unique quality and design features, especially nice triggers many comment. I have never shot one, but you have the single action first shot option which is normally reserved for 1911s. What's the trigger pull like?

What does it weigh?
