Thanks

That's actually the AR-15 I own. Too funny.

In other news...

Thanks to a judge blocking the state's ban, Californians get to keep their old standard-round capacity mags that were bought before the 10-round limit instead of being required to dispose of them... (Yay! Maybe they will soon reverse the 10-round limit too)

JenMae's got a Ruger Vaquero she swears by.

Getting back to guns, does anyone here work with Ruger revolvers? What is your favorite?
S&W 686 has been mine but I have resisted Ruger revolvers for some reason, just started with S&W and never made the jump.
4" minimum barrel length, 38-357 or 38 alone, target, plinking and small game hunting.
best wishes

looks like he got off several shots from a remington 870, second one in the nose, that's pretty cool for an 11 year old, the Lord was with him. I am curious how much he matured after that experience, I am sure he will be replaying that in his mind for some time.

I wonder why they were carrying rifles instead of pistols?

Seems more cumbersome and obviously harder to get on target. Maybe a good 10mm or .44 mag

I don't think there is any pistol that compares to the muzzle energy of any rifle.

Idk. If I were in Griz country, I'd pack both.

A high powered rifle for primary and a 10mm for when I can't get my rifle at the ready.

I'd also file my teeth out and grow my nails really long for a feral edge. In case things get really close, you know?

A Glock 40 would be so light on the hip, I don't see a reason why not beyond the cost involved.

A friend of a friend had one of those suckers save his life.

This popped up on my youtube.... Shows the whole process insde the Buck factory..

I have a Glock 40 cal. Gen 4 It wasn't cheap. I also have a Rugger LC9 with built in laser (it has a long trigger pull), an M&P shield 9 which is my choice of carry. I have a Tarsus 357 revolver, a Mossberg 500 20 gauge shot gun and a Remington 22 rifle every accurate.

I mean a Glock 40 as in Glock's 40th patent. It's a long-slide 10mm.

Nice set-up! How is the Taurus revolver?

It fires well, but the barrel doesn't always lock. It must be a weak spring They'll fix it free, but I have to pay the shipping and handling, It doesn't affect the firing so its minor I leave it alone until something more serious happens. I like guns.

Interesting. Do they/would they make you ship it to Brazil or is there a factory in the the US?

That's as close as you can get to a high capacity .41 magnum handgun on your hip. If I spent time in the big bear woods, that would definitely be on my short list of handguns to carry... I would probably opt for a Ruger Redhawk, 5.5" barrel, chambered in .45 Colt, loaded heavy with hardcast bullets. The Redhawk has such a smooth double action, it would be difficult to find better, I think.

It cost $50 to send it to them in the US, but there would be a long wait to get it back. As long as it works, I am okay with not sending it out for repair. The barrel not locking all the time doesn't affect its dependability or I'd send it back. As for the way it handles, it has so much kick that if you don't hold it tight it can cut your hand. It did mine, but it shoots 38 specials as well and the kick on that is not bad at all. But watch out when you put fully load .357 shells in it. WOW. I am amazed that the gun can handle the pressure and power.
