Or when you are in Sunday school and you are the only single person in the whole class, and they start talking about what the Bible says about marriage... Or a woman and a man's role together... And everybody looks at you pointedly and starts talking about how they need to find you a spouse.

That awkward moment when you're single, and you've never had that moment where a married friend says "We need to find you a spouse." *Shrugs*
 
That awkward moment when the customer goes on and on about your husband and how lucky he must be.... and then notices that you aren't wearing a ring and asks if you are ashamed of your husband and you blurt out (instead of crying) that you are a widow.

ETA: TWO different male customers today. Oy Vey

I am so sorry. They should be the ones who should feel ashamed for even saying such a thing.

Oh, that is awkward. Now I understand why you take that flamethrower of yours wherever you go.
 
When you "like" a post because you can sympathize with what someone stated but the post is regarding something unpleasant and you want to "like" it to show them you have heard them and agree it was unpleasant but are not sure what to do so unlike and re like 5 times as you don't know what to do.

That awkward moment when you are working at a grocery store and a coworker randomly looks at you and says "we need to find you a girlfriend." Then the customer at your register says "you are trying to find him a girlfriend? My daughter is single." That was a really awkward moment.....especially since the daughter was standing right there. I was so confused as to how the topic even came up.....my coworker thought she was hilarious.

That awkward moment when you're standing in line at the grocery store behind that lady and you hear this conversation......make eye contact with you... and then you see that l heard it.....and l give you that goofy side grin.

I had that same kind of thing happen only I was the customer.

Then it got awkward at the potluck after my Grandma's memorial service my brother in law tried fixing me up with his older brother who is an accountant at a local university and everyone was ganging up on me. I was like um.....no thank you.
