That awkward moment when you get all excited to finally witness 2 beautiful hummingbirds fly over to the water feeder you recently hung on your porch for them...
...and they immediately commence to beating the heck outta each other!
Their wings were battling like playing cards snapping together, they were pecking each other in the face and chirping shrilling and wildly like angry crickets!!! Neither would let the other have even a sip at the feeder. I blurted out, "Now THAT'S real pretty!", shook my head in disgust and went into the house. 
...and they immediately commence to beating the heck outta each other!
Their wings were battling like playing cards snapping together, they were pecking each other in the face and chirping shrilling and wildly like angry crickets!!! Neither would let the other have even a sip at the feeder. I blurted out, "Now THAT'S real pretty!", shook my head in disgust and went into the house. 
Oh yeah, they get territorial sometimes! My grandmother had a hummingbird feeder and one day this one bird took up a post on the bar that held the feeder aloft and chased away any other bird that got close.
They seem to have short attention spans though. Next day it was business as usual, birds coming and going.

I had an awkward moment this morning when the doctor held my hand to help me up and as soon as I was on my feet he gave me the biggest hug. I didn't know what to say, but I have the sweetest and God fearing doctor I could ever ask for.

I said at a fun family event in excitement describing how I feel about that moment "yeh its going down" My Dad sortof cleared his throat to say ahem I dont approve and your wise brothers gf rescues by explaining youth language Pheew I owe you!
