Hi, I have a friend that I used to know when I lived in California, we have been having disagreements. He posted "I don't care about what happens to the rest of the world." Then I said "I care & I know that Jesus cares too." Then He said "Really? show me in scripture where Jesus says he cares about the world?" I know that there must be something in the Bible where Jesus say's that he cares about the world, I know he cares about people. God created people & God create the world, I don’t see how Jesus would not care about the world. I figure you would be the one to ask since you are more educated in the subject than I? Can you help me find where in the Bible Jesus says anything about caring about the world?? thank you

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Thank you, but i would like to find somewhere in the Bible where it says that "Jesus" loved or even cared about the world. It just seems so dumb to think that Jesus doesnt care about the world.

Jesus gave His life for sins He didn't commit. If that doesn't show He cared for the world, I don't know what does. I don't know one person who would volunteer to be crucified, do you? And I'm not being flip here. I think that makes the point. He died for all of us.

Howdy and welcome to the Forum.

This is an argument that should never have happened. The initial premise is so ludicrous that I don't even know where to begin.

Which parts does he think God hates? Did he specify a country that he considered too vile for God to love? Did he state a reason why God would love us and not them, some inherent quality in some other part of the world that we don't have?

the thing is that he said "Jesus" not "God" thats easy to find, but not so easy to find "Jesus & the world" I know what he said is "ludicrous" i agree 100%.

It's a troll question. Jesus is God. But I doubt your "friend" will admit to that.

It is not much different than someone saying, show me where Jesus says He is God.

The Bible irrefutably points to this fact hundreds of times.

But you will not find the words, "I am God" coming out of Jesus' mouth.

John 1:1 + 14a In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.

I think that he thinks that God/Jesus hates the same people that he hates, and he has talked of other countries and people not worth of existence, parroting trump. just for their race, religion, where they live. he has 5.6 followers, i know him personally. he doesn't really know all those people, he just spends his life on his phone, that is his world. i wont even have a cell phone, but he has a following like trump who just say what ever he says. it is beyond me how so many people can just be in a whole other world...

In my experience there is no help for people like that. They have way too much pride and they won't get better until life knocks them down a few times. I have seen God fix people like that, but it's gonna hurt. And until or unless it happens, there's nothing a mere mortal can do to change them.

If you did find the perfect answer for his question in the Bible, he would just argue around it. There's no way to argue that he will accept, because he WANTS to believe what he believes. It feels good to him.

You are so absolutely right! hit the nail on the head!! exactly!!! and living in an apartment complex, i learned quickly who the "trumper thumpers" are and not to say a word about trump because every one of them all have one thing in common and that is that they would become very angry when talking about trump. No sense in communicating with someone who has to yell and be angry, so that was an easy fix. i get along fine with all the trump people as long as we dont talk about politics, it's all good. but this friend from a long time ago, when i lived in california, i always had a high opinion of him and respect for him, he even ran for office in our tiny little rural town and won. he was one of the smartest people that i knew. how can he be so wrong? it is sad how ever since trump came into politics, (2016) he has clearly divided our country, unlike we have seen since the civil war. i have had to block him off and on through out the years. i just cant believe that he can be so stupid, because i know that i am not so smart.
Thank you, You have solved my issue, put my mind to rest. i dont have to look through the bible any more or search for an answer. you have given me the answer that i was looking for. it feels good.. thank you...

Be careful of tarring everyone with the same brush. I have family that will not speak to me because I supported Trump. I could not defend my reasoning, they went off on me on my FB page, said all kinds of hurtful things and blocked me out of their life. And they claim to be saved. smh Trump supporters have been through a lot, called everything from racist to homophobic, to Nazi's. That makes people kinda touchy. Two sides to every story.

I have the same solution for my brother and anything LGBT whatever whatever whatever. He really, really, really really reallyreallyREALLYREALLYreally likes to talk about how homophobic the people he disagrees with are, but I told him I will not talk to him about anything related to politics or religion. If he starts talking about it, he knows I will just stop talking to him.

I don't think she's talking about you. I think she just means the rabid ones. In my experience you are not one of those people who looks for any excuse to turn any given conversation into pro-Trump ranting.

YEP, I've experienced it all, but what is most surprising to me is how hoes divide us, as a country and our relationships. it is so much like the civil war, American against American, brother against brother. to me, no mater what our opinion is, it's not worth fighting over, so much hate and anger, after 60 years i dont get mad any more, it is not worth it to me when i can choose to not be mad. i'm gonna enjoy myself for the rest of my life no matter how bad something might be, i will even lie to myself because nothing is worth taking my happiness away. very different from when i was younger. i have learned alot the hard way, now it has been all for the good. and i can look back at my life and feel very blessed all the way through my past since the day i was born. very blessed

that is true, like i said before,. it is just a choice to be mad or happy, it's really not that hard, happy is much easier and takes less effort. LOL
