Yes,

For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, "Eat and drink!" But his heart is not with you. - Proverbs 23:7

but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. - Matthew 5:28

So thinking about it, has the power to influence you to do it just as committing adultery in the heart. If someone thought of killing someone for pleasure or hate or sadness and was contemplating about it, wouldnt that be sin? So yes you should try to think positive my friend.

Well, suicide is just a form of murder. Is it good to contemplate murdering another person?

i don't see why suicide (act or thought) should be a sin. its your life.

thats like saying taking your own car is stealing...

Becasue DarkVoid you may control your life but it's not from you it's from God...He has a purpose why you're still living until now...

Yes it is a sin.It is the opposite of trusting God.We always have hope in the Lord.

So then its like the maker of the car (life) gives it to you for free but still wants to tell you what to do with it?

And since he's the only maker of cars (life) he has a monopoly...

Hmm...am I the only one who does not like this situation?

Except a car and a human life are vastly different.

well yea. but it's the principal of the thing.

god may have given you life but you are the one living it, not god.

and if someone's life is so miserable that they want to die. then is it really right to make them hold on in pain?

people always say: it hurts your loved ones. well that person (suicider) obviously does not feel loved. and even if that's true, it's ok for the suicider to hurt in life but not ok for others?

and mayb the suicider continuing life will hurt the suicider more than their death will hurt anyone else?

but i don't see why god would send suiciders to hell and give them more pain when they were just trying to escape their pain in the first place... sounds very...mean...

I was suicidal once. I did not feel loved, but it wasn't because I wasn't loved. I just was blinded to things around me from my own darkness. Sure, maybe some weren't showing their love in ways that I wish they did, but it doesn't mean I wasn't loved at all.

Even if it's bad at the moment, who's to say it will always stay that way? What about in 1 year? 5 years? 10? People's lives have value beyond what they may be feeling at the given moment. It's been over 9 years since I was suicidal. As much as I hate that that's a part of who I was, it's given me the chance to help people I otherwise wouldn't have been able to, I don't think.

That's all very well and good IF the person's life ever gets better. or they ever feel better.

but what if they don't?

what happens after it's been years and years and they can't take it anymore? (a person can only handle so much)

The bottom line on suicide is that it's always the person's choice. It's their life and we all have the ability to do it if we wish. However, how/if the person will be judged for it and what penalty there is for it if any.....That's entirely up to God. All of our opinions are irrelevant on that issue and do not have any influence on the outcome.

Nothing in this life can compare to the suffering of hell.Unbelif is our enemy it is deceptive.

of course, but i would hope they would not be punished for it.

One thing I do love about God is that I believe he is always righteous and does the right thing. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't worship him. He knows everything about a person's heart and life experiences and he is very merciful.

As far as suicide goes, I've seen people claim it's a one way ticket to hell.....I don't believe that myself. There's no definitive judgement on that issue in the bible. God says that he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy and compassion on whom he will have compassion. Bottom line, I think if any of us could personally make a decision on what we think to be a moral, merciful, compassionate, and good judgement on an issue.....God can always do it better than us. I don't have a reservation about trusting God with any issue, but not everyone has the same outlook I suppose.

People don't kill themselfs to experience greater suffering they are deceived into thinking there suffering will end.

well it doesn't matter. if a person can't take it, they can't take it.

A lot of this relies on the people in the person's life to be what they need them to be.
