Sometimes I wonder if college is any fun. I mean they have their fun events, but are you buried under homework most of the time?
Don't do what I did, and start your assignments the night before or the day it was due. Avoid all-nighters because you didn't study all semester. Distance yourself entirely from boys and alcohol. Always have a sufficient supply of bubble wrap at hand.

I chose fun over homework and study, and although I passed, got my degree and all, I still feel pretty bummed I didn't work hard for it. The amount of fun to study ratio is usually in your court. You decide on how this all pans out.

Love, Arlene.

So many thoughts...so little time. So much to do. So many things I wish I could do. So many injustices in the world.

Cancer is a brutal murderer that has taken millions upon millions of lives. If it were a person I'd kill it myself.

But it does'nt kill everyone. I'm living proof of that. :) But I do agree with you, it is an awful disease.

I'm so glad that you survived it. SO glad. You contribute so much to CC and no doubt the world around you offline.

I only had a month and 27 days with my mom after she found out that cancer had invaded her body. On July 14th it'll be the 2 month mark since she's been gone.

lil_christian, I'm sorry about your mother. I know how hard it is to lose someone, and have that day come around. Thank you, :) I try to contribute as much as I can on here, and in my own life. :)

I love how the winky faces on this forum are as un-flirty as they could possibly be.

(Barely missed the cut-off for editing my post...lame.)

Not that I would use it that way or anything, of course.

But that's what you would typically associate with winking. It's more of a greasy uncle/Joe Biden smile than anything.

;)

yeah, one of the reasons i'm not a fan of emoticons in general, is i prefer the intent/suggestion rather than the concrete. at least sometimes.

plus i'm not yellow, nor have a round head.

I use emoticons ALL the time, because I want to make sure I'm being clear, because you can't always hear someone's tone of voice within text, unless you know that person really well. Even then, it can be hard to decipher.

oh yes, why bother with ordinary, articulate words when you can emoticon your way through life? i mean, think of all those great thinkers?

imagine paradise lost full of emoticons? *snickers*

ya know i love you, evs, just kidding, dear. : )

which reminds me, i have a friend who actually texts me more emoticons than actual words. it makes me mildly crazy.

in spite of what some drivers think, you CANNOT have an entire conversation with gestures alone.

ok, so maybe some can, but it leaves a bit to be desired, for sure.

recently, i learned about a class that is for mounted archery, and i'm thinking of signing up for it. it sounds so much fun.
Ah, gypsy. Singlehandedly reviving the Mongol Horde.

So, last night was weird....odd enough that it kinda weirded me out. Last night was the first time in a very long long time that I actually felt like I wanted a gf. It's so odd because for the last couple years I was totally against having a gf, even recently I was very hostile to the idea of having a gf. My life hasn't really changed much to warrant this change of heart, i'm not really sure what happened. Something to pray about I guess.
Take a deep breath, lie down, get a good night's sleep. If none of that helps, go visit a jewelry store, see the exorbitant prices and realize you have better things to spend your money on than a girl. If all that fails start a thread about the most difficult thing about being married.

Besides the winky face doesn't mean flirt. It means, I know you are intelligent enough to know that the mean sounding thing I just said was sarcasm and giving you a hard time, and I don't really have a problem with you.

I got a small tub of cookie dough from Papa Murphy's while picking up pizza for supper for my parents and me. On the top, it says, "Bake before consuming."

LOL no
