Of course God knows me better than I know me and knows that if he did that, then I'd throw myself into trying to do whatever he said all by myself and quickly exhaust myself in the effort. It really only makes sense for him to do that if he just wants us to do certain stuff instead of wanting to be part of our lives, but often it does seem in my twisted human thinking that it would make things a whole lot easier if he would do things the way you described. (I'd even try not to freak out too much when there was a strange man / being that just suddenly appeared in my bedroom).
***** I used to think that when I was 25------ we walk by faith----- the more we get into the Word---- and become familiar with Holy Spirit---- we will have that " type" of walk with God...
Quite often we miss Him when he speaks, possibly because of all the other "noise" then later the realization dawns on us, "Wait a minute. That was You?" I must admit there are times when I really get the feeling of that statement. "Why don't you just walk in and tell me." He does have ALL the answers to everything that could ever concern me. So He says "Seek..ask...knock" So that I'll continue to do. Where else can I go?
Can y'all guess what my favorite pastime and soon-to-be part-time profession is???

Work on your aim. Square your shoulders to the target. Maintain a good tripod form with your arms and shoulders, and your grip is important too. Sight the target, and squeeze.

I slept last night....like...REALLY slept. I have to drive the youth on a trip this weekend. That ought to be interesting. Hope I remember how to drive a bus. It's been a while....

When God forgives us, it means he has forgotten our shortcoming and we are redeemed in his eyes.
But humans aren't always so quick to forget. Just because you're forgiven doesn't mean you've redeemed yourself to them. Sometimes the redemption takes time, other times things might just never be the same.

Isn't that funny? God who is perfect and has a RIGHT to remember our wrongs, forgets them- while we sinful humans who hurt each other hang on to remembering each other's sins. I think it is easier for Christians to forgive and forget because we know we have been forgiven so much. "but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."
I realize how much of an introvert I am when I'm sitting here with my family who are trying to support my father and I am just internally like "IWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOMEIWANNAGOHOME" Maybe home is my safe place and I don't get it until I've been gone from it for a long time.
