To me gambling is a game, just like it referred to in the Bible where they sat down to eat and then they rose up to play referring to the sinful, idolatrous worship of Moloch that took place at mount Sinai. The only reason anyone would have a "thrill" at a casino is because they worship money.
As a Christian it is not your money, you are a steward who will appear before the Lord and give account. I don't think "I like throwing money away" will help your case when you appear before the Lord.I think they just like to throw money away.
Oh, oh! Bingo! .So would you say BINGO isn't gambling if the prize isn't money and you don't pay to play?
I agree communities should address this; government not so much unless they are going to do away with it. This is unlikely, however, as government gets revenue by running lotteries. The rise in calls to gambling helplines is concerning, and it's clear that many people are struggling with gambling-related issues. It's important for governments and communities to address this problem and provide support for those affected.
Love this! I have to be honest and Lord forgive me but sometimes I do find myself thinking about what if I made more money or I need to make more commission on my checks. It is truly evil and will send people into destruction. Sometimes I constantly think about money because my husband wants me to make so much. It’s truly frustrating and causes so many arguments. I really wish he would become born again and realize how material things are the root of all evil.I think its time to talk about gambling and how the state is now preying on its own citizens out of greed.

I am no prophet but it seems safe to predict this will only get worse.
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle,
but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. (Proverbs 13:11 ESV)
But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. (1 Tim 6:9-10 ESV)
