No, not exactly purple...Most people think I own the color purple
Something with a touch more red in it than that.

oh, good morning btw️
I'm drinking some Pete's Major Dickason's blend myself today...it's the weekend and I'm going to need it here in a bit for the grocery store.
Usually I just get Kroger's Columbian.
Good morning everyone. It's Super Bowl Sunday. Go Chiefs!!!

It’s all so surreal to me! It took the Chiefs 50 years to make it back to the Super Bowl and after winning Super Bowl 54 they are going back again for Super Bowl 55. For them to win 2 years in a row would really blow my mind! No big Super Bowl party for us. We are watching the game with my son and daughter in law. He is making barbecue and she is making chili.Huh...knew it was coming but forgot it was today.
Probably not going to watch... haven't kept up all year. I didn't know who was playing.
I dunno if there's a way for me to watch it or not... I only have internet access and not cable. No rabbit ears either.
No SB party to go to either this year.
Meh...I'll wait until it's fun.
Just the other day I was entering a big shopping center parking lot and there were 3 young adults (maybe teens, IDK) on skateboards coming towards me on the wrong side of the 'street'. Two of them got of my way but I had to swerve around the last one because he was busy looking at his phone. But it was actually nice to see young people on skateboards. Haven't seen anyone on a skateboard in years.when my kiddos were itty bits we'd go into a store and pull out a shopping cart, then I'd have to lift them up into it.
I at first was careful to watch for anyone who might be around us so as not to swing into them. But as they got a little bigger and heavier the focus became to just get them up and into the cart, people really shouldn't be walking THAT close to anyone (especially a young family) to begin with.
I lost count within the first week of how many people walked into my kids swinging feet because they were to focussed on the device in their hands. Most of them just looked dazed and confused when they got hit, but a couple tried to get nasty about it. But between my mom glare and comments from others around who saw it, those nasties ended real quick.
THEN a few years later, we were out for a walk, and stopped at a red light with the pedestrian crossing light
View attachment 225287 A young guy (16-18ish) is walking up behind us so engaged with the device in his hand that he WALKS into the street WITHOUT stopping to even check and see if any traffic was coming. My daughter was 3 or 4 at the time, and said "Boy he's a big dummy" well He must've heard that because he stopped, looked up and around, then stepped back onto the curb with a red face.
I'd like to say people like that need to realize this is simple common sense stuff, but then again common sense isn't so common anymore.
I just love my grandson Jaxon and the best part about being a grandparent is you are only a 'part time' parent.Man I’m already exhausted and it’s only a little after 10. these littles wear me out quicker than cleaning my own house.
I just did 3 searches before getting Ellie's member name rightWait.... hold the phone.....!
Did I read this right!? That Ellie very rarely comes on here anymore??? Like she just randomly does from time to time?
Omg how I miss her... someday maybe she will be on here and I will to.. what name is she using do you know?

the Lord bless you and keep you
I just did 3 searches before getting Ellie's member name rightWhich is notmyown
She was here near
the end of last month, and also mid December, but before that, last summer, July, when she was in this thread:
... and then the December before previous to that... so yes, fairly rare and rather sporadic,
though not always here in this thread, as she posts in other Bible Discussion topics
Speaking of phonesI had her phone number at one time and spoke with
Ellie a number of times within the first year or so of my being a member here![]()
I will do so... whenever I am on and I see her post, I immediately check it outIf you see her or hear from her, please... please tell her I said hello. I miss her sooooo much. She was like a grandma to me. I’m just so thankful she’s still alive, don’t know what I would’ve done if I found out she’s not still here on earth with us.
she is such a wonderful person, ugh... I just miss her.![]()

But the new regulars Are pretty awesome too. Once you get to know them lol.
Im great! Thanks for asking. have 2 little boys now.. still living in the suburbs... and just started a new job. So all is well with us here.![]()
Haven't heard from Ellie in a few years now or Kody either. I still love this place though and happy to see you pop in. I read that sad post of yours in another thread. Sorry for that to happen to you but I can relate to it.
Glad to hear that.
God is good.
I’m going to need for you to think of up a complete list of every new person that has joined since 2017. Paying special attention to the ones who post here on the “Speak” thread.
Full Member stories:
Backgrounds of each.
Their posting styles.
Whether they use humor or not.
Who bakes, who doesn’t.
How to pronounce their screen names properly.
Im sure you get the idea.
I trust your judgment and will expect a full report on my desk by 8am, tomorrow morning.
Thanks.
