I know... I have been doing this since I got laid off 6 years ago... So what's a few more months?
Found out last night that South Africa is going into a full lock down from midnight on Thursday. 21 days of being home bound...
It's a basic instinct in that with a roll of toilet paper you can pile up a bunch of wood and start a fire the problem is that most who are being told to shelter in place will eventually walk out on to their patio and realize that,,, well yes they can grow a few tomato plants on them and some hanging plants that are edible but then it will occur to them that the patio is just not big enough...
Their cannot be another depression where the people revert to farming because there are no more farms. In a little while I suppose this will sink in and then the ones from the cities who think out the growing food on their patios scenario will then drift into the woods and realize critters are referred to as hunted because that's what others noticed,,that is hunting means the critters try not to let you find them...and the ones in the woods don't hold their pistols sideways or miss thirty-five times in a gun fight...

The current policy of my employer is that if you call in sick you will not be allowed to work for 14 days. I am sure that there will be many who will call in sick just to get a 2 week vacation. Of course, it will be an unpaid vacation.
In my 48 years of working for the man I have observed that many have a poor work ethic and perform just the minimum amount of work to keep their jobs. They move slow and without purpose or determination. In my opinion, those are the ones that need to be self-quarantined. I am sure that once the economy settles back down that these lethargic laggards will be shown the door.
For the record, you do quite a bit of valuable work such as paying the bills, cooking, and laundry, and for the past few months getting things organized and packed so that we will be ready to vacate our current abode. What you do and who you are is highly valued.
Most importantly, you are my best friend and traveling companion as we share the adventure of life together.
That's kind of sad my good friend. Once we finally move and get settled in Tennessee we would love to come to see you where you reside in Sweet Home Alabama. We can drink ice tea and feast on the local catch of the day. I'm trending towards hush puppies. I know that it is heresy but I prefer my ice tea unsweetened. The blond does the sweet variety that's 'cause she's my honey.

lockdown for nz will be from tonight, I had a friend who I had not talked to in over a year call me to say she was in the nuthouse and wanted me to visit.
I was like I cant I have to look after my parents and she rang off. If I didnt know her I would surely think this was a joke.
But actually she is in the safest place right now cos if she was at home she would not be safe.

the only sad part for me is that my current physical condition keeps me from getting out into the wonders of Gods creations and enjoying being with Him....... I MISS FISHING........
That being said, and a wee bit against my Doctors advice, IF we get a nice couple of days this week, I AM going to drive down to the Lake and drown at least ONE worm.
I don't mind not being around crowds. Because of the side effects of my meds, being around crowds makes me nervous, irritable, and even angry......the noise just gets on my last nerve...........but this has been going on since July, 2016, so the coronavirus is not to blame......
