2 Corinthians 5

1) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3) If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4) For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5) Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6) Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7) (For we walk by faith, not by sight

8) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

This earthly shell we endure for but a while. Soon our clothed in a Heavenly body created by God, and that body will know no pain or suffering, or injury, and will be for all eternity!

I have a little story to illustrate what I mean.
I went climbing on a climbing wall. I used an automatic harness, where as you climb it tightens
the safety rope, so if you fall it will slow your descent. The climb was 15meter or 45ft.
At the top I simply could not jump off, because it was trusting the mechanism, though I had
put my life in its hands. I climbed back down.

So the act of trusting is hard, knowing it is a real risk, though in another way once done, it either
works or you fall. And once you trust it is easy, because you find your trust works.

Heh, that doesn't change what Jesus said about His yoke being easy and His burden being light.

I mean if people wanna do it the hard way, sure.

It is interesting how people react to two commands

Love the Lord your God with everything you are, and love your neighbour as yourself.

In discussions some have said saying we are to do these two things is tying a burden on people and
not lifting a finger to help.

I have found in learning about the cross, sin, failure, how and why I love, I have found Jesus's burden
light and easy. Once you see what love actually is, and what being open and honest is all about, the
demand is just to be real and see things as they are, and respond appropriately, which is actually the
best thing one can do.

It is losing the delusions of grandure or believing we have to be anything than a follower and worshipper
of Jesus our Lord, that is actually real freedom. Amen.

Was supposed to have an apartment inspection yesterday, and NO ONE showed up. On top of that, only 3 people were given notices, AND less than 24 hours notice at that!!

My mind is tired, tired of need and desire.
We need always to dwell in Jesus, and life will spring forward.
Everything, every day is a gift of beauty and blessing that we might serve our King and
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet if we listen to our tiredness and the blows, we should just fold and accept defeat and
give up. But our hearts cry out, never, because in Jesus and the cross we have victory and
eternity to sing His praise, a road of glorious gold, to lift up His name and see His reality
at work today. Amen
