I'm having so much fun not sleeping, I decided I might as well go down to the river in a wee bit and do some fishing.......... Haven't drowned any worms in a couple of weeks.

I read that the quakers objected to naming the days of the weeks after foreign gods so they just gave them numbers. They claimed it was idolatry

Nice day on the river...........well, mostly nice......cloudy and a wee bit windy, but, shoot, beats the heck outta working!

Caught a bunch of Bream, two Stripers, and a turtle.........put 'em all back

Wednesday morning, early morning. Seems to be my lot in life. These early morning times. But it is so quiet and peaceful at these times, that I just look forward to having my coffee, reading Scripture, and being here on CC.

Praying God blesses and keeps each of you this day.

Reasons why I’ve always hated summer... you can only take off so much clothing before it becomes illegal in public. And summer time always makes me lose my appetite cause I’m never hungry when it’s hot out. And your electricity works twice as hard to keep your house cool... therefore makes your bill go up.

hey Legendary!
Other than the icky summer heat, how are things going for you? Is your roof situation being (or hopefully has been) resolved?
 
Weather forecast in my neck of the woods of Missouri for the next 4-5 days is mid to upper 90's (and after you factor in the humidity) the heat index will reach 105-110. :eek: I only need to get through Wednesday and Thursday, then I start my 3 day weekend followed by 1 week of vacation. :cool:

We took a trip there last summer.....
let's just say (and I grew up in sunny, hot California)
that I sweated in places I have NEVER felt sweat in before...…….
I have NEVER had to change clothes (until then) b/c the sweat made them so wet......

We are keeping it simple and going to Lake of the Ozarks this time. Two bedroom cabin (to share with my son and daughter in law) right on the lake with a kitchen and BBQ grill and plenty of activities near by. :cool:
