Gen. 1:
20Then God said, “Let the waters [ab]teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth [ac]in the open [ad]expanse of the heavens.” 21And God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24Then God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures according to [ae]their kind: livestock and crawling things and animals of the earth according to [af]their kind”; and it was so. 25God made the animals of the earth according to [ag]their kind, and the livestock according to [ah]their kind, and everything that crawls on the ground according to its kind; and God saw that it was good.

2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man's soul was God breathed. No other creation was done that way.
No bueno buddy. Try and keep up.

Gen 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 6:17
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Gen 7:15
And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

Gen 7:22
All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

Act 17:25
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Christians: Pastors Who Don’t Know God.

Many (not all) of these men and women who inhabit the pulpit have exalted themselves above correction, or so they think. Members dare not correct them. Outsiders are pushed away. And day after day, men and women not of God continue to deceive the hearts of the simple. The simple with itching ears who heap to themselves teachers full of comfortable lies, nonsense and false promises. But this time I am not going to start off by calling out Creflo “man of God but confused and deceived by Kenneth Copeland” Dollar, former false teacher Fred Price Sr., T.D. Fakes, Paula “sleep with married Benny Hinn” White, Dale “put your name on everything to promote yourself Bronner, Peter “sucker you with free spring water packets” Popoff, Juanita “profit-ess with serious mental issues” Bynum nor Joel “Don’t Worry Be Happy” watered down Gospel Osteen. Come on people, stop falling for the show. Well I guess I did call them out.

Yes I would say most Christian denominations are morally corrupt and scandalous financially.

Fred Price was my favorite TV pastor for a long time. He brought the meat. Eventually he became all about money. Very sad.

I watched Dr Fred Price all through the 80-90's and even taped many of his programs and never found fault with his messages. I learned a lot from him about 'ever increasing faith'. His wife Betty gave the best talk on marital sex I've ever heard.
I watch K Copeland off and on and am watching his Sacramento Campaign this week. He's 86 and been married to Gloria for 59 yrs, his family and him are all in the ministry and in good health. He once prayed passionately over a lady that had a tumorous growth hanging over her face and it disappeared, in Jesus name.
Joel Osteen's mother, Dodie, was diagnosed with liver cancer having a tumor the size of on orange on it. They gave her a few weeks to live. Her husband John Osteen, told the Dr 'we believe in miracles Dr' and they went home fell on their face before God and earnestly prayed. That was in 1981 and she's been alive and well since.
Kenneth Copeland is a demoniac.

Can you tell me what salary John MacArthur is paid?
Probably $400K. Supposedly his net worth is somewhere between $10-20 million.

"In February 2021, Phil Johnson, an elder at MacArthur’s Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, said that John MacArthur doesn’t make more than $500,000 a year from Grace to You.

His salary ”is well within the upper-medium range for California pastors’ salaries,” according to Johnson."

Shittim, what you say is true. These false pastors aren't led by the Spirit, nor are the myriads of their followers. Lost sheep!
It's actually unfortunate because many are actually believers, and are in fact genuine. Just very desperate. Especially those of the prosperity gosple. Very physically ill people gather towrds these false beliefs thinking them to be true out of their own desperation, they give all of their money to these preachers who teach that God will heal them if they do.

They may be misinformed, but they are real believers.

Now for the teachers, I do not know. Some might genuinely be confused, but from what ive seen all are selfish and aware of their misconduct.

And many who lean on the prosperity gosple for wealth and physical abundance, I would like to insert that I have doubts that their faith is genuine. But only God knows.

We do agree for the most part though, brother :)❤️

At best, the so-called "pastors" who teach flasehoods and who have profited off the gospel to become wealthy, they have their reward here on earth in the things that will perish with this earth, perhaps them being called the "least" in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 11: 13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The man is dead and yes I know this is from 2024. He died July 14, 2025 so he can no longer call everyone who speaks in tongues demonic. smh

I read about a preacher who started a church with a belief system based on this scripture:
MATTHEW 18:2-4 (KJV)
2 And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

So, this "Pastor" actually convinced his congregation to wear diapers under their clothes, and they obeyed! How can any human being with a half of a brain fall for something as insane as this?
Joseph Smith convinced the Mormons to do something similar. ;)

Welcome to CC. :)

I agree that pastors should not be receiving substantial salaries, but I see nothing wrong with receiving royalties for books they have written (or music, for that matter). Making money is not in itself evil. What they do with the money is between them and the Lord, and He is just. :)

Yes. That's why I specifically pointed out their "profiting" off the gospel. Music, books, etc., that's all fine given that those are means for living off the market rather than peddling falsehoods behind the pulpit and demanding tithes and huge offerings that serve only to enrich them.

James 3:1
“My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.”

only God knows the heart. Not only do I feel sorry for the sheep who are fed wrongly; I feel sorry for the ones who feed them.

but here’s a question. Isn’t it our personal responsibility to search out the truth that the Bible teaches rather than just receive everything taught as truth? Also as we study to ask God for wisdom and discernment? Too many people just let themselves be fed and don’t discern the difference between false and true doctrine. When I was in Bible college we had chapel every day, and lots of speakers came across the platform, making contradicting statements. I remember someone asking me, “ why can’t they tell us what we’re supposed to believe so we can know?” Dangerous ground. I think they did that intentionally to drive us into the word and prayer to God for truth. Not the way I may have approached it, but it was effective in compelling me to study and pray to seek truth.

there is a great responsibility in being a pastor or teacher and it’s not a vocation to be entered into lightly.
it’s a calling. Jesus said many are called but few are chosen.
i Guess that’s why they will receive a stricter judgment?
Just some thoughts…

Then there are those who refuse to believe the scriptures shown to them point blank.

The problem with many modern pastors and teachers is that they aren't leaders who are of biblical stature, meaning that they should get a regular job, shut their mouths and learn from the pews or chairs like all others within churchianity. If they don't ever grow to maturity, like most other pew warmers, then they should keep their mouths shut all the way to the grave like most churchgoers.
