The reason I ask this question is because in the church I came out of, returning the curses back to sender is what the leader practiced, and taught us.
I might suggest staying away from this leader and his or her teachings.
Go with Jesus' teachings instead:
Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV):
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust
and James'
James 3:9-10 (NKJV):
"With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so."
The same one I said who cursed me, because she did curse the entire group of people for not giving her donation. In the old testiment the church leader did this to Isreal, because they where always not giving tie money. He told me that it was not himself they did this to, but God. And he cursed them. The church leader I spoke of did the same thing. And when this happened I suffered losses because of my car. However on this topic because of what someone here said, sorry I looked for the post for credit, I had already been suffering problems with my money. It just happened that somethings happened to me.
The Old Testament required the children of Israel to tithe a 10th of crops and herds to the Levites, which was tithed to the priests... all descendants of Levi. Israelites were to take 10% of their produce to consume at the place the LORD would choose for the appointed times ('feasts of the Lord), or if they lived far, sell it to buy food to eat at these events. Every third year, a tithe was collected in the cities for the Levites, fatherless, widows, and foreigners.
I think most Americans, even unbelievers, pay 100% of the Biblical tithes they owe, because they have no crops or herds in the land of Israel. And if it supposed to go to Levites, why would Gentile preachers demand it?
But why would you want to put yourself in a situation where a leader would curse you?
The church leader would point to scripture saying that we are to return curses.
Jesus said to bless them that curse you.
One of those is, 'God will curse those who curse us.' And right now I don't know them, but she pointed to other scripture also.
If God does that, it is up to him. You don't have to curse them. Vengeance also belongs to the Lord, not to us.
Some Charismatics call this stuff you are talking about 'Charismatic witchcraft.' I'm not sure if curses are witchcraft or not, but it sounds bad and dangerous. I think you have been taught wrongly on this topic.
But an error I know the church leaders was doing, was they would command belzabulb to break things for them. Commanding a demon to do something for them. Which I know is witchcraft, because this is what a witch does. On that, I think they just where making a mistake. Ignorant of the error.
That is really messed up. What else would the leader have to say for you to stick around? Was this praying to Satan? Praying to Beelzebub? Beelzebub is a way of spelling Baal Zebub, lord of the flies (maybe a change of a letter off Canaanite name to make it say flies.) Is praying to Baal enough to get you to stop following a leader? I would imagine Jezebel prayed to Baal since she had Baal priests.
I'm not sure if these baals are considered to be the same entity, Baal Peor-- lord of the hole, and the other baals. But does it matter what demon somone tries to get help from? Do you want to follow the person?
