While Paul provides the theological "how," Jesus provides the prophetic "when." Jesus used specific "until" statements to mark the period of Israel's setting aside and to signal the conditions for their end-time restoration.

1. The Proclamation of the Messiah
In one of his most poignant moments, Jesus laments over Jerusalem. He declares that the city will not see Him again until their heart-posture changes from rejection to welcome.
Matthew 23:38–39: "Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’"
The Meaning: Jesus ties His physical return to a specific national turning point: Israel must voluntarily welcome Him using the Messianic greeting from Psalm 118:26.
2. The Times of the Gentiles
During His discourse on the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the age, Jesus speaks of a specific period of Gentile dominance over the holy city.
Luke 21:24: "They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
The Meaning: This implies a definitive expiration date. Once the "times of the Gentiles" reach their conclusion, the "trampling" stops, signaling a return of Jerusalem to Jewish stewardship in the prophetic timeline.
3. The Restoration of the Kingdom
After the resurrection, the disciples—still operating under the Hebrew prophetic worldview—asked if the kingdom would be restored to Israel now. Jesus’ answer was not "No," but "Not yet."
Acts 1:6–7: "Then they gathered around him and asked him, 'Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He said to them: 'It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.'"
The Meaning: By saying the Father has "set the dates" for this restoration, Jesus validates that the restoration of the kingdom to Israel is a scheduled event on the Father’s calendar, though the timing remains hidden.
When looking at the theology of the Apostle Paul, the definitive "hub" for the future of Israel is found in Romans 9–11.I have read it, for heaven's sake.

While many of his letters focus on the inclusion of the Gentiles, these chapters specifically wrestle with God’s remaining promises to the Jewish people.
Here are the key passages where Paul outlines the redeeming destiny of the nation:
1. The Irrevocable Calling
In the climax of his argument, Paul explains that despite Israel’s current "hardening," God’s initial choice of them remains technically and spiritually intact.
Romans 11:28–29: "As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable."
2. The "Fullness" and "All Israel"
Paul describes a sequence of events: a partial hardening happens to Israel until the "full number of Gentiles" comes in, which then triggers a massive restorative event for the Jewish nation.
Romans 11:25–26: "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved."
3. Life from the Dead
Paul suggests that the return of Israel to God's favor isn't just a minor event; it is the catalyst for the final resurrection or a global spiritual awakening.
Romans 11:15: "For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?"
4. The Olive Tree Metaphor
Paul warns Gentile believers against arrogance, using the imagery of an olive tree. He notes that while some "natural branches" (Israel) were broken off, God has the power and the intent to graft them back in.
Romans 11:23–24: "And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again... how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!"
Since we've already looked at the core of Romans 9–11 and Jesus' "until" statements, we can look at some of Paul’s other letters where he reinforces the same theme: that God’s covenant with the physical descendants of Abraham is a bridge to the end-times, not a closed chapter.
Here are further insights from Paul regarding Israel's redeeming destiny:
1. The Physical Heritage and the Covenants
In the beginning of his "Israel section," Paul lists the specific advantages that belong to the ethnic nation. He uses the present tense ("they are"), indicating these rights weren't revoked when the Church began.
Romans 9:4–5: "They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen."
2. The Deliverer from Zion
Paul quotes Isaiah to prove that the final "salvation of all Israel" isn't just a spiritual metaphor, but a literal fulfillment of a covenant regarding the removal of sin from the nation.
Romans 11:26–27: "And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: 'The Deliverer will come from Zion; he will banish ungodliness from Jacob'; and 'this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.'"
3. The Hope of the Resurrection
In his defense before Agrippa, Paul clarifies that his entire ministry and the "hope" he preaches are actually the fulfillment of the promise made to the twelve tribes. He sees the Gospel not as a departure from Israel's destiny, but as the only way to reach it.
Acts 26:6–7: "And now I stand here on trial because of my hope in the promise made by God to our fathers, to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly worship night and day."
Summary of Paul’s "Redeeming Destiny" Logic
Paul’s argument follows a "How Much More" logic (a < b) to show that Israel's future restoration will eclipse their past importance:
The Fall (a): Israel’s temporary rejection led to the riches of the Gospel going to the Gentiles.
The Restoration (b): If their "stumble" did that much good, their "full inclusion" will bring about something even more massive—global resurrection.
A Final Thought from Paul:
Paul concludes his entire 3-chapter deep dive into Israel’s destiny not with a lecture, but with a hymn of praise (Romans 11:33): "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!" He was overwhelmed by the "chess move" God made—using Israel’s rejection to save the world, and then using the saved world to provoke Israel back to Himself.

The "Harvest" Metaphor
To Paul’s Jewish audience, the "First Resurrection" wasn't a single event but a season.
The Firstfruits: A single sheaf (Christ).
The General Harvest: The main crop (The Church).
The Gleanings: The leftover crops gathered at the very end of the season (The Tribulation Saints).
By including the Revelation 20 saints in this "order," the New Testament completes the picture: no one who belongs to Christ is left behind in the grave before the Millennial Kingdom begins.
All a part of the resurrection, the first.
All in orders and ranks according to the sequence of God's REDEMPTIVE PLAN UNFOLDING through the ages.
And BTW, if you care to notice, the Bible speaks to these various RANKS and CATEGORIES of the saints, giving
them various and different office, roles and responsibilities and hierarchy.
It just so happens that the pre-trib rapture Church (epitomized by the 24 elders, who have ALREADY BEEN REDEEMED and glorified before the tribulation ever begins) enjoys a particularly lofty and glorious rank, as being union-ed with the Bridegroom and attending to Him at His side for eternity is truly unique.
Rev 20:5
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

It was based on whether they would cease sinning and no intent the messiah

we have to reject tbat in order to be waiting for God to raise up the temple again but it’s not longer about man made temples for God or a Mount in Jerusalem

There will be no man made temple anymore where god dwells the new and restored Jerusalem will have no temple and isnt on this earth yet

173,880 days to 10th Nisan 33AD so-called (and wrongly!) triumphal entry.....exactly 69 weeks of years.

The prophecy begins:
“From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem…”
That decree is in Nehemiah 2, issued by
Artaxerxes I
The decree was given:
1 Nisan, 444 BC
(March 5, 444 BC on the Julian calendar)
This is the only decree that:
- authorized rebuilding Jerusalem itself
- not just the Temple
2. The length of the prophecy
Daniel says:
7 weeks + 62 weeks = 69 weeks
Each “week” = 7 years
So:
69 × 7 = 483 years
Daniel uses 360-day prophetic years
So:
483 × 360 = 173,880 days
3. Count forward
Start date:
March 5, 444 BC
Add:
173,880 days
You arrive at:
March 30, AD 33
Which is:
10 Nisan, AD 33
4. The end date
10 Nisan, AD 33 is the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem as King —
the Triumphal Entry recorded in the
Gospel of Luke 19:28–44.
That is the exact day Messiah officially presented Himself to Israel.

False. All of us pre-trib pre-millennialists do NOT believe anything of the sort.
Our tenure and commission is complete BEFORE the 70th week ever begins!
Oh......and BTW, if you did not know (I'm sure you don't!), Daniels prophecy concerns ONLY ISRAEL and Israel alone.
It has absolutely zero to do with the Church age.
Dan 9:24
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM).
Here's an example of Scofield's poisonous teachings. This is part of the footnote at the bottom of Acts 2 in which Peter said the Joel 2 prophecy about the last days was being fulfilled before their eyes. By that he meant the last days of natural Israel, whether he knew so or not. But Scofield has it exactly backwards by stating the last days of the church began with the Christ's 1st appearance (wut?) and the last days of Israel will be at his 2nd coming. It's just bizarre error that will really screw up a new believers' mind and subvert their faith, as it did to mine.
So using your calendar straightforwardly without the gap, we get to AD 40.
That gets us into a time when Christ is risen.
Have the goals in Daniel 9:24 of the seventy weeks been fulfilled at that time?
1. to finish the transgression, and
2. to make an end of sins, and
3.to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to
4.bring in everlasting righteousness, and to
5.seal up the vision and prophecy, and to (see Luke 16:16)
6. anoint the most Holy.
Yes, Jesus had already fulfilled all of that by AD40.

Now slow down and read the passage I was referring to:
