......Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I know this sounds harsh, but most Christian music is sub par. It's all a bunch of forty somethings that were Christians when they were our age, and there wasn't any Christian music in the style that they liked, so now they make that kind of music, which appeals to a few forty somethings. OR, it's some one my age that doesn't know how to make their own sound, so they just copy whatever they think is popular at the time. There are some good Christian songs, but most of them are, like I said, sub par. And you feel guilty for not liking them as much as a talented secular artist. Also, it is important to note that some times the best praise songs are performed by secular artists. My Sweet Lord by George Harrison is a fine example. Harrison did not intend it as a Christian song, but it can still be used as such. Matisyahu, far from secular, but still not Christian, has written some amazing praise songs. Songs that have brought me to tears when I sing along and worship.

I totally agree with you.

yeah, I too agree with that
there are lots of secular songs that I'll listen to as if they were meant to ave a christian message

YEAH

I forget about Nordic Fest.... and the schedule is from last year still, so can't see who will be on

I love the religious metal...I'm always so into im amazed by how cool it is. and plus i've always listened to alternative so i'm happier that i have more postive metal to listen to.

I don't like Christian Metal (as I have stated) but would you say these lyrics have elements of Christianity in them? (I wrote them too)

Your broken promises
your time to deliver
never let me go
i will be here

Your breath does not exist
your time does not cease to be
you will never need to reasist
for the power of he

The never delivered
faith has to be broken
the rime of that mariner
sits and tells his tale

Your breath does not exist
your time does not cease to be
you will never need to reasist
for the power of he.

Grey, seriouly I don't know either. I think its perfectly fine, but aparently a lot of people don't think strait.

Red aren't metal, are they?
