Adam commanded her not to even touch it.......this may have been the problem , if he told her not to touch it lest she die , and then she sees the serpent slithering all over it , she might have wondered why doesn't the serpent die ? The serpent took advantage of the fact that Adam had......added to God's Word , and he used that against the woman . Hey , look at me ! I'm all over this tree and I'm not dying , u can touch it too and u won't die , your husband lied to u ! So , Eve is tempted to disobey her husband ( not God because God didn't say that if u touch it u will die ) she touches it and thinks : hmph , Adam was wrong , I can touch it and I'm ok . Maybe he was wrong about being able to eat from it also .
This is what the deceiver does , he takes advantage of us if and when we start to mess with God's Word , he sneaks in and encourages to believe innacurasies , he seduces us and leads us into trouble .
I believe what God says , not what humans say , the Bible is the inspired Word of God and there r no coincidences in there , it's a precious gift that helps to bring us closer to our Heavenly Father . If what anyone says to me contradicts His Word then I don't go along with it but to b able to do that I HAVE to read His Word for myself and b convinced of it . What is the condition for baptism that Phillip gives to the Ethiopian in the book of Acts ? We have to know God's Word in order to obey it and there's only one fool proof way for us to get that understanding .
OK Suze...

Have fun.

I want to learn truth and to better understand what God wants me to know before I leave this earth.

It is simple, Suze!

Now go obfuscate it with complexity?

Others will get it.
Those who care will.

grace and peace .......

How do we know anything about God and Jesus ? Maybe we listened to someone talking about them but , where did that someone get their info from ? Adam represents mankind , mankind embelishes God's Word and that leads people into sin . God gave us Jesus ,His Word made flesh and made sure that the New Testament was written and preserved for us so that we don't have to rely of mankind and his chinese whispers , the Bible is God's Word made paper ( paper comes from wood , wood that bore the body of our Saviour and saved Noah and his family ) . God is awesome , He reveals His wondrous works and perfect ways to us all day every day , in our lives and in the lives of others and in the beauty and perfection of His creation . Everything God does is perfect and beyond perfect and that definitely includes giving us His Living Word the Bible . He doesn't want us to b lied to , or deceived , He wants us to know Him as perfectly as we possibly can and that's why He had preserved His Word in paper , it's been printed millions of times and there r now only a very few places where u can't get hold of it . God has given us this most valuable gift , we must not neglect it . To do so is serious folly for someone who wishes to b in His Kingdom . That means us ! Me included 😜 .
Thanks for your devotional.

Yes, although we can perceive God's power and loving nature via His creation and moral conscience, most of what we can know beyond that mode of revelation is by means of the Scripture God has gone to a lot of trouble to inspire dozens of writers over thousands of years to create and copy.

I agree that God is not tricky and does not want anyone to be deceived (1Tim. 2:3-4), so every normal person who reads it with an open mind can understand it well enough to be saved. (This is why I am glad my initials include GW :^). However, for those who desire to delve more deeply into the doctrine of election or into the epistle of Ephesians, some of us are participating in a systematic study on the Hermeneutics and Systematic Bible Study threads.

RQ: Should President Trump instruct the Justice Department to ignore nationwide injunctions by Marxist district judges
that block his mandate to deport illegal immigrants?

Another way to ask this question is: Should immigrants illegally invited into the U.S. by the Marxist Biden regime be given more due process to deport them than it took to import them?

Can you illegally enter NJ? No. If somehow someone did (which is impossible but just for the sake of the question), they would not be allowed to stay.

RQ: What truth is implied by the fact that GW never condemns soldiering?
The RQ on the table was this.
The answer is obtained by realizing truth may be conveyed both explicitly and implicitly.
Because soldiering was an occupation ever since the Roman occupation of Palestine,
the fact that it was not explicitly condemned as a form of murder implies
that killing in order to punish murder is not murder but rather justifiable homicide.
[No immoral moral equivalence here.]

Yes, but because everyone in heaven will be happy, I speculate that the different degrees of joy
will correlate with the degrees of suffering for Christ during earthly existence, comparable to
why an artist appreciates a painting more than someone with little knowledge of the subject.
(Rom. 8:18, 2Cor. 4:17, 1Pet. 4:13)
Too many Christians suffer much more than those who suffer for Christ.

The worst suffering comes from a believer who is willfully wanting to remain ignorant of what God would have him to know and understand. That kind of suffering can last a lifetime.

As for suffering for Christ?
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his
eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 1 Pet 5:10

Stupid believers suffer much, much, more. And, they call it "suffering for Christ." Why?

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but he who hates reproof and correction is stupid.
Proverbs 12:1

Well, willful ignorance certainly is stupid or foolish, whether by atheists or by Christians
after they were wise enough to believe the Gospel but ignore the rest of GW (didache).

The worst suffering for Christ may have been that of Paul per his description in 2Cor. 11:23-27.
