So, would it be safe to say that post tribbers don't know the Lord? They read the same scriptures as we do (I think), I suppose that we are Blessed to have been given eyes to see.
The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. But it takes study to show ourselves approved, and spending time with the Lord. Our Lord is such a good Lord! He does something for me every day. I could flood this board with the Testimonies of them, but, It would likely be for many of them, too small and inconsequential to people and so they wouldn't believe it unless, they spend time with the Lord too and have met Him. It adds to discernment of the truth. I can listen to someone else's testimony and can tell, hey that sounds like something my Lord would do (or not do!). So I know it's true. But if they don't know the Lord they wont know these things. The Lord is a very Nice guy !!
I was behind $2000 on rent, had a $300 shut off notice for Monday (this was Saturday) and I was having a garage sale to make it through my slow season. ...and, my landlord showed up with my 3 day notice. He said I like you Ed but I have bills too and you're too far behind...He left and I got scared. I've never been homeless before and didn't have the money to move. So I prayed and asked the Lord for Help, Amen.
It was dusk by then so I closed up the garage and went in the house. As soon as I sat down, the phone rang. Some guy seen my garage sale ad on Craigslist and wondered if he could come by after he gets off work. I said yes and he showed up right on time and as soon as we stepped in the garage he says, How much do you need? What kind of question is that? I ignored it and went into salesman mode, picking up knick knacks and telling him about them and he says again, How much do you need? I didnt know how to answer such a strange question. I didn't know he was an Angel of the Lord yet. Then he says well, how about $1900 for everything on that table?
That stuff wasn't worth that much! I knew he was joking but the question gave ne brain lock and I just looked at him. Then he said, ok how about $2400 then? By this time, I wanted to hear the punch line! So I said, sure, that's fine. And the punch line was, he counted out 24 $100 bills and handed them to me. He asked if I had a box or two to gather the stuff. Sure. I was helping him load up the stuff from the table and he says I wont need that what you just put in there...and then he says that either, or that. You can hang on to this too...?? Now something aint right here. Garage sale customers do not act like that! I helped him load up what he wanted and he left prolly 25% of the tables contents on the table and he just paid for them! We shook hands and he left. As I was walking inside back down the stairs to the family room I slid my hand into my pocket and felt that wad of $100 bills, and I said, Praise the Lord! And it hit me, I had prayed not quite two hours ago for help and I got it!. I figured the amount, $2000 for the behind rent, $300 for utilities and...$100 bucks for groceries! The Lord is soo Good!
He helps me find stuff that I misplace at home, I was out of coffee once and thought about praying for help, more work or something. Then I remembred God's word says He knows our needs before we ask, so don't worry about what you will eat or wear. SO I thought, ok so I dont have to pray about it, He knows. And in less than 30 minutes a 2 LB bag of coffee knocked on my door!
That, is my Lord.
