"LUST" only means strong personal desire. it's not necessarily evil or sinful.

Jimmy Carter once got in trouble when speaking in a foreign country,
and the translator took what Jimmy said about longing to see them,
into how he lusted to see them.

It made the news as an embarrassment.

Why do you insist on putting me in a jar?
Now you are claiming I was saying you are cookie?
Have you ever heard of the saying, of the boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar?

Now? May I ask one more time? (this makes three)

When you are hungry?
Does that mean you are fallen?

Was Jesus sinning when he was hungry?

..........

Well? Was he?

I don't understand, why you are even trying to determine whether Jesus ever sinned?

If you believe that is the case?
You are totally missing what I said.

I have no idea how you landed there.

Eh? Are you suggesting I have said their natures were unfallen? Your position is saying their nature did not change.
Yup - A&E were created WITH HUMAN NATURES, and that's what they "Passed on" to their decendants.
Jimmy Carter once got in trouble when speaking in a foreign country,
and the translator took what Jimmy said about longing to see them,
into how he lusted to see them.

It made the news as an embarrassment.
Which is what the MEDIA PRAYS for!!

Man was first created as a SOUL. (Genesis 1:27)

The bodies were produced afterward so the souls could live and get about in the material world.
The body is where presently we get the fallen nature from that affects everyone's soul.
That is why we will be given a new body!

But, our soul?
Will remain being who we are.

The media can be such a bunch of jerks. I would have been more forgiving of Pres. Carter since he didn't know the Polish language that well and it is one of the more difficult languages to learn.

The point was.....

Jesus as a perfect man experienced the desires of man, but without sin.
Someone here said that meant that Jesus knew lust, and that they are the same.
That Jesus had the same nature as fallen Adam, but Jesus refused to sin.

I was showing him how the word 'lust' and the word 'desire' did not have to mean the same thing.
The example to show him that reality was when I showed him what happened with Jimmy Carter.

Lust can be desire. But, desire does not have to be lusting.
I was trying to show him that....

grace and peace ...........

I certainly agree that Adam and Eve were of the natural world and prone to be prey to its temptations.

That is why Jesus was fore-ordained. God knew they were going to sin/disobey.

But I do not know what you mean about the media praying for something.

Is this an allusion to all the woke nonsense going on? Men can have babies, etc?

And I am still unclear about whether you consider that A&E actually fell after sinning.

Because that would be a change and you are saying nothing changed.

And it still remains that they were good but afterwards, most everyone is decidedly not.

I don't see the panel at all.
Good morning Cameron just checking in and wondering if you can still see nothing? I know you are often on your phone (or perhaps it's all the time), while I am mostly on my laptop, but I just checked now on my phone, and I can see them. Can you?:unsure::unsure:

You are not alone.
He seems to believe Adam remained as he was created by God, even after he ate the forbidden fruit.

We should just get this straightened out then:

lust /lŭst/ (from The American Heritage Dictionary)

noun
  1. Intense sexual desire.
  2. An overwhelming desire or craving.
    "a lust for power."
  3. Intense eagerness or enthusiasm.
    "a lust for life."
It just depends on word usage and I think Bob meant it as definition #3.

With that said, I agree with you that Jesus doesn't lust in His heart in the sense of definition #1 - having intense sexual desire, or definition #2 - having idolatrous desire or craving. He always had self-control which He exhibited all throughout the gospels. He won't ever allow lust to overtake Him!

No, that could not have been used it in reference to Christ.

Jesus did not have a lust for life (which is really a figure of speech, not a literal meaning).

Jesus only desired to do the will of the Father!
He did not lust to do the will of the Father.

Would you please stop trying to make excuses?
That is called spin control..... and drags things on until what was said will be forgotten.

 think! Stop making excuses, please.

Spin control..... drags things on until what was said will be forgotten!

Don't allow yourself to be a part of it.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves
and take up their cross and follow me.

Stick with the meaning. Not what you might wish it were to mean.

grace and peace.

I don't think you read other people's posts all that carefully. You misunderstood @Bob-Carabbio 's post and now you've misunderstood mine as if I'm opposing you. Oh well!

I read his post... And, I do not agree with both of you at this point.

No big deal...

Point to where I went wrong.
That would help.

This discourse has been so unpleasant, I don't care anymore.
