it is sad but true that sometimes being persecuted is your only opportunity to witness and evangelise
I might not always know their motive, but God knows.
Dear Grey,
People who are true Christians do not persecute. That is true. Those in name only can persecute. Even if you are not persecuting me, there are people who are not Christian who do. Keep in mind, I did not say all.
Yes ,it ws a shocking and barbaric incident ...in rural villages there's still intolerance towards christians but much has changed in urban india....
So on what grounds are you able to judge a "true Christian" from another?
I am not judging any true Christian from another but based on their actions and words, one can tell if one is a Christian or not. Also by looking at what a Christian should be like based on what is said in the New Testament. Can I be wrong at times, yes? But the ultimate person who judges everyone when they die is Jesus and because He is holy, righteous, sinless, etc. no sin can enter His presence. If one has Him, he will not be judged the same way, but will have Jesus as his advocate. Sadly, those who do not believe in Jesus and do not accept his gift of eternal life, will be eternally separated from him in hell, where I don't want anyone to go and neither does Jesus. Jesus paid the penalty of your sin (the lies, the things that have been stolen, the lust that you have committed in your heart, etc). If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart you will be saved as the Bible says in Mark 16:16, whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. I once was condemned to hell just like you are now but through Jesus you can have eternal life, the wrath of God will not be upon you, your name will be in the Book of Life, etc. Jesus is the only way to heaven, but it is your choice and everyone else's, it will determine what will happen to you, whether you believe God exists or not, whether you believe there is truth or not, etc. Everyone will have to stand before God, whether one likes it or not.
There shouldn't be any tolerance neither any condemnation. We can't replace JESUS' precious blood with sugary sweet fruit juice to not be the bad guy. You know what I mean?! JESUS has asked us not to be conformed by the standards of this world.
Well if you aren't judging then how are you discerning if one is a christian or not. People are what religion they profess to be, thats the point.
Not true there are people who say they are Christians and don't act Christlike and they know they don't and don't care. So it is not true that if you profess to be a Christian or whatever you are that you are a Christian or whatever. When it comes to religion, nominal is not an option or name-only, if you really believe something, you have to practice it and mean it. Otherwise you are not really into the belief system that you profess.
That throws pretty much all classification systems into disarray then. But for example, a person burns an alleged witch and they are a christian claiming to adhere to leviticus.
