The intent behind the statement itself is that a
password game "wimp" is someone who is not willing to even try to solve it unless it is made very easy for them. It was intended in a lighthearted way rather than an insult - and, not at all as an insult against anyone's intelligence - not condescending by any means.
I realize now that a big part of the reason I made the [offhand] remark came from a place of disappointment in the lack of numbers of people playing the game.
So - a 'thank you' to those few that do play - and, a very special 'thank you' to
@PopClick for having the guts to try to stay with it on that last one.
I think I will step away from this thread for now and perhaps come back when I see 10-20 people playing it on a regular basis. Otherwise, I will just have to give away my "wins" to whoever I think has made the most deserving effort to playing the previous round (or some such thing) - so that they can do the next one.
I feel a certain responsibility to try to keep up with this thread when I am the "password puzzle host" - to not leave anyone hanging for too long if they have made a guess. And, as of late, I cannot even login to the site half the time. And, it is greatly disappointing - after going through the effort to try to come up with a good password puzzle - when no guesses are made over a long enough period of time.
My apologies to all if I have "reacted" out of a bad attitude or something - I do not even want that responsibility if the site itself (and/or cloudflare) is going to keep me from logging in; however, please understand that my intents and motives are good - I just want everyone to have a good time playing the game - even if it means me stepping away from it.
What I would really like to see is a lot more than just a few playing it. Because - then - the game can be much more enjoyable for all.
