All four words in all-lowercase letters also exist in scripture. However, we are only concerned with the only-once-each capitalized occurrences of the words.
Bonus:

One of the four words in all-lowercase letters [also] exists only once in scripture. (whereas, the other three exist in multiples)

Which one of the four words is it?

Four of the words that begin with an uppercase letter (with the rest being lowercase) are all found in 5 consecutive verses of scripture - each of the four words being the first word of one of the 5 verses. (The first word of one of the 5 verses is not capitalized.)
Weeeeeeeeeelllll - I certainly made a fine mess out of this - I did not state this correctly.

The first word of all five verses is indeed capitalized.

The first word of three of the five verses is one of the four words.

The other word of the four is in one of the other two verses but is not the first word in the verse.

Sorry 'bout that! :oops::oops::oops:

Gary, what did @Godsgirl1983 tell you about making the riddles so complicated nobody wants to solve them? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦

I'm not sure even @Mem and @Sculpt are gonna try this one! 😵😵😵😵😵💀

Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh - sorry - when this all started, I was just trying to come up with something in the realm of a search-the-scriptures challenge. I didn't mean for it to be/get too complicated - I guess it just sorta turned into that... (I am such a geek when it comes to data analysis, manipulation, etc.)

But, I also had in mind to give extra clues every-so-often to narrow it down a bit after every clue.

So - I will shoot for "really easy" and give this clue:

The four words are in lists - three in one list and the fourth in another list - both lists are in 5 consecutive verses.

Aaaaaannnd - I will try my best to not let myself do this again. :cautious: ("I promise.")

I find it difficult to come up with something that seems like it has the right amount of challenge. You don't want it so easy that someone will guess it before the 5-minute edit time-out on the post is even up yet. Nor do you want it to be so difficult that no one will even try to solve it. I understand that. It is just that - for many ideas I come up with - believe it or not - I "just know" that folks will "get" the first clue I post right away - because - for that [password], I can only think of clues that give it away too easily. (Or, so it seems.)

In the future, I will try to lean toward easy - even if I think someone will get it right away - and see how that goes...

Thanks for your patience - please don't roll your eyes and take a vacation every time it becomes my turn - I will try to find my way to a better balance that makes it a fun challenge that others will want to attempt to solve.

And, this tends to push me into more complexity.

I don't know - what did she tell me? :D

At this point - with the "really easy" clue I put in post #2505 - I am thinking that anyone who knows their Bible well enough should be able to solve it very quickly. I have no doubt that you could "beat them to it" in the next five minutes if you decided to. If you do not agree that this is the reality, please let me know. (seriously - I want to better understand where the line is drawn between me thinking it should really be this easy because I know the answer and the possibility that the information that I have given so far is nowhere near being sufficient enough to narrow it down almost completely.)

In other words, in how many places in the New Testament are lists presented? (major clue - correct? occur to anyone as such?)

If that does not "narrow it down almost completely" - knowing that it is in Galations should certainly reduce the search effort sufficiently to make the effort worthwhile.

Beyond that, the phrase 'works of the flesh' (list #1) and the phrase 'fruit of the Spirit' (list #2) should pretty-much give it away.

And, if that is not enough - someone just post 'Galations 5:19-23' and we can move on...

Did you just answer your own riddle?!
@GaryA, I don't even know what the question is.
Is this what we trying to figure out for the password?

Since you already posted the answer, want to try again posting a new riddle?

It's not that we don't like hard ones, we do (got some ridiculously intelligent people in this thread!).

It's more about the complicated instructions that can get lost in translation. If you need more than one short paragraph to explain your rules/premise then it's probably too complicated to translate well. Does that make sense? 🤔

When I read your original post, I didn't really understand it. But after reading your next couple posts, I went back and understood it.

What came to my mind for unique words in the Bible were names. So I looked at a few of the "Jesse beget Bill" passages, but in the KJV (if not most) those verses begin with "And Jesse beget Ralph". So, then I gave up for the night.

Later I looked at a few "listings" in the Bible, but didn't see any that matched, so I gave up again. I think this type of puzzle might just be a bit un-user-friendly to explain.

Is it Galatians 5:19-23?

I saw this riddle too late. When I saw it, the answer was already given. While I read through the posts I begun thinking about regexp and bash scripts. That is how I would have tried to solve it.

I apologize, @engblom (and @GaryA and everyone else).

I wasn't trying to ruin the riddle for everyone but I should have waited before saying anything. 😔
