The logic is a lack of trust that JESUS keeps you saved.

Yes. And you have been shown numerous Bible verses and passages such as one of His Names itself, Emmanuel, "GOD WITH US", that say He is God as well.
Your continued cowardice to answer with a straight YES or NO, as to whether He is God in human form, has been evident.
Now you even go so far as to ridiculously attempt to redefine the word "Divinity". So your "last breath" will apparently be spent denying that Jesus IS God, to your eternal detriment.
Eternal Salvation just means you will be saved as long as you don't continue sinning thinking you have a License to Sin.
Each one of us has at least one specific Sin that we continually struggle with. But if we choose to keep drawing closer to God by reading His Word and keep in constant prayer we will resist that Sin more times than none.
It's the ones who just keep sinning that one sin and telling themselves oh well I have Eternal Salvation that are in danger. For they have twisted the Word of God and deceived themselves.

who do you say Jesus is? It better match what Simon Peter said.

That's completely illogical. What I assume you mean is Jesus will keep us saved no matter what. That is, whether we trust Him or not.
If it's our trust in Him that saves us and keeps us saved then we must maintain that trust. If He saves us and keeps us saved apart from any faith or trust on our part then it's out of our hands. But you can't have it both ways.
Spiritual salvation is a one time event, not a life long process.
But who is more secure in their Salvation:
The one who prays daily for God to help them overcome a specific Sin they struggle with
Or
The one who continually sins the one sin they specifically struggle with and tells themselves it's cool because I asked for forgiveness of all sins 20 years ago when I got Saved?
Nope. You either have the trust or you do not. It may wax and wane......but you have it.
