Great. Then you believe in the divinity of Jesus too I presume. That is Jesus came from God. Hence Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Something I’ve always been saying, but your beef seems to be that I don’t call Jesus God. The answer from heaven is that Jesus is the Son of God.

Yup. All the cults call the son of God too.

You said you believe he is divine. I grabbed where you said that.

Divine means Hs God.

So is He God or not?

We already know He’s the Son of God. I’m asking you if He is God himself.

When someone creates a thread “debunking” eternal security, that person is working to maintain salvation.
So if a person doesn't believe in eternal security, they automatically must be working to maintain salvation? I don't see the logic?

Goes something like: RESTING in the salvation already provided by the foreordained plan, efforts and sacrifice of a Redeemer on our behalf. The confidence in the surety of the gift so elucidated many times and in many ways in the NT.

The logic is a lack of trust that JESUS keeps you saved.

If you believe you can lose your Salvation, then LOGIC dictates Jesus failed to keep you saved.

The Bible calls Jesus the Son of God. I’m sticking with that until my last breath.

Resting in the gift because of one's confidence in the Giver.
That sounds better.

Yes. And you have been shown numerous Bible verses and passages such as one of His Names itself, Emmanuel, "GOD WITH US", that say He is God as well.

Your continued cowardice to answer with a straight YES or NO, as to whether He is God in human form, has been evident.

Now you even go so far as to ridiculously attempt to redefine the word "Divinity". So your "last breath" will apparently be spent denying that Jesus IS God, to your eternal detriment.

Eternal Salvation just means you will be saved as long as you don't continue sinning thinking you have a License to Sin.

Each one of us has at least one specific Sin that we continually struggle with. But if we choose to keep drawing closer to God by reading His Word and keep in constant prayer we will resist that Sin more times than none.

It's the ones who just keep sinning that one sin and telling themselves oh well I have Eternal Salvation that are in danger. For they have twisted the Word of God and deceived themselves.

My definition of divinity matches identically with what you showed me.

The answer from heaven:

Matthew 16
15“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

who do you say Jesus is? It better match what Simon Peter said.

Let's forget about the Son of God here for a moment.

What do you think Messiah means?

To the Ancient Hebrews it means God.

So Jesus said He is the Messiah.

If we go by the Hebrew definition that means God.

What is your definition of Messiah?

That's completely illogical. What I assume you mean is Jesus will keep us saved no matter what. That is, whether we trust Him or not.

If it's our trust in Him that saves us and keeps us saved then we must maintain that trust. If He saves us and keeps us saved apart from any faith or trust on our part then it's out of our hands. But you can't have it both ways.

Spiritual salvation is a one time event, not a life long process.

Salvation is a one time event, not a life long process.
But who is more secure in their Salvation:

The one who prays daily for God to help them overcome a specific Sin they struggle with

Or

The one who continually sins the one sin they specifically struggle with and tells themselves it's cool because I asked for forgiveness of all sins 20 years ago when I got Saved?

then we must maintain that trust.
Nope. You either have the trust or you do not. It may wax and wane......but you have it.

Looks at Peters vacillating and denials. Yet.....he never "changed gods". Same goes for Abraham.

Jhn 6:68
But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

Pretty much sums up the state of mind of the redeemed.

Jude 24

New King James Version

Glory to God
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

Hebrews 7:25

New King James Version

25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Jesus saved me, and I believe Him when He says HE will keep me saved.
If He saves us and keeps us saved apart from any faith or trust on our part then it's out of our hands.
Yes. Salvation, and remaining saved is COMPLETELY out of our hands.

Do YOU trust Him to keep YOU saved? Or are you trusting in YOUR ABILITY to trust Him?
