it seems that the site is trying to mitigate some of the back and fourth arguing , with some of it getting nasty.
i know this because i have been involved in many of them over the years .
but, i respect that this site can run itself any way it chooses, and, out of respect for that, i have tried to tamp down on myself to not get into heated arguments,

I would look at verse 18 AND 19 in Romans 5.......
Romans 5:18-19 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s (Adam ALONE) disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s (Jesus Christ ALONE) obedience many will be made righteous.
It is undeniable, it was the obedience of Jesus Christ ALONE that saves us and delivers us from the condemnation that came to all men through BIRTH through Adam.
Again, through BIRTH in Jesus Christ we are made righteous and given the free gift of Eternal Life. Our faith is in the act of obedience of Jesus Christ ALONE.
All our works will be judged by the Fire of God.
Works we do in our flesh will be consumed in God's Fire and have no reward in Heaven.
Works we do by the Holy Spirit quickening and working in us CANNOT be consumed in God's Fire and will have great reward in Heaven.
This is why we are to deny our flesh, take up our cross and follow Jesus.........so we do not do works by our flesh and this is why we need our minds renewed by God's Word and Holy Spirit so we can know the perfect will of God.......also, with renewed minds we learn to walk by the Spirit so we do NOT fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Our works are NOT for salvation - they are for rewards in Heaven.

It takes a bit of time for the TROLL to loose access..... he is NOT new, he/she comes around sporadically and has a few minutes before he/she is completely blocked.
He was "user profile not available" about ten minutes ago.. actually quite immediately from when he/she started.
Correction: no spiritual worth as regards the qualification to enter the kingdom of God.
A fact that I elaborated upon in that thread for your edification that you have seen fit to disregard and fail to post.

I am thankful for this thread. It is so good to know that I do not have to "work" to earn salvation. I'd never make it!

I found I had to put bold font face on the Joh 3:3, add the N to John, and of course the read Letters. Somewhat less convenient, but it will work.
Speaking of that VERSE, I have found that SEVERAL Churches in America, DO NOT TEACH BORN AGAIN. I was Raised in one of those Churhes, and I did not know the Meaning of the expression BORN AGAIN, until I was almost 29 years old. Here is the SIMPLEST definition that I use a lot:
BORN AGAIN is when you, out of Sincere LOVE FOR HIM, by the power of the Holy Spirit, willingly surrender Control of your life to HIM, meaning it with your whole BEING, especially your HUMAN SPIRIT.
I back it up with this portion of SCRIPTURE:
Rom 10:9 (ESV) because, if you confess {not merely PROFESS it} with your mouth that Jesus is Lord {is NOW LORD of my Life} and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, {Genuine FAITH is of the HEART or Human Spirit, NOT with what lies between your ears.} and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
I was taught in an old fashioned German Lutheran Church that saying it with your mouth was a form of works righteousness. WRONG, IF IT CAME FROM THE HEART, IT IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE. Here is why:
1Co 12:3 (ESV) Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.
See it? It is a work the HOLY SPIRIT does in our Hearts or Human Spirit.
