By omitting the “that” in the passage, It does change in that instance, what Paul was referring to as the gift. Yes, in the broader context Salvation is a gift, but it says that accessing that Salvation is by the faith that God gifted us.

And the reason is because if that faith was of us, we could boast.

WHen God gave adam the command, He in effect gave adam a choice.

1. Chose to trust me and live
2. Disobey me and die

Sorry,still not understanding...he did not give them a choice it was a command.

How would they have known what choice was?....who told them what it meant?

Choice is not biblical with Adam and Eve command is....command is definitely not a choice.

you have eternal life because God so loved you he sent his son to die for you. And you believed in him, and were given eternal life (john 3: 16)

in this, you were saved.

Do you think you can lose salvation?

Why because...command is not a choice...it is a command.

so then why did adam sin if he had no choice?

how could that possibly have happened? If God gave them no choice. We shoudl never have had the fall of mankind, because adam had no choice

I have eternal life because God chose and drew me......I will be with the Lord for eternity......and quite frankly I can’t wait!

but nothing in that passage said faith was of us.

And nothing I have said claimed faith was of us

so now do you see my confusion?

I do not believe my faith in God came from myself..

Yet I keep being told because I believe I was saved by grace through faith I am earning my salvation and boasting in self.

We are commanded not to bear false witness and yet people do. Do they choose to?

We are commanded not to covet and yet people do. Do they choose to?

We are commanded not to commit adultery, and yet people do. Do they choose to?

We are commanded not to do other things as well, and people still choose to do otherwise.

Acting like people do not have a choice in the face of commands to the contrary shows blindness to the truth of the matter.

This is not the only reason you have eternal life. If you think this is true, I do not agree with you..

Did Adam know what sin was?....I see it so different from you and others bro....Adam was given a command God Never gave him a choice.he chose to go against the command

She said God chooses and he draws who he saves.....scripture a few pages back..no confusion here on my eternal life,....smile.
