Under the law this is correct.“For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.

*Sits in the corner eating his popcorn and watching @eternally-gratefull and @preacher4truth exchange verbal grenades*
I'm never going to catch up on these posts if you two don't stop quarreling.![]()
That has nothing to do with you keeping up.
My apologies since you feel I've thrown verbal grenades. Pretty much trying to get him to end the insults, misrepresentations, claiming I've stated things I don't believe. He really needs to end that, he has zero evidence to support any of it.
IOW it's been a bit of defense while trying to get him to man up and end this, while owning his proven teachings he denies. I will offer his own words proving this when I get around to it. This will end his accusation that I'm lying about his teachings.
Now, you better duck @Fastfredy0; "Incoming!"
Yes, be very gentle with me please. Are you that fragile?
This is a contradiction. You cannot do something with no effort. This is the same as saying "I did something while doing nothing".
Ah, so that's how you get around the issue. Ah... gotcha ...
God can be soverign and still not have his will completedRe: I said:
I agree, I AM SPECIAL to God. (aside: your post was not directed to me specifically)
Qualification: I AM SPECIAL to God because of what He has done. I have done NOTHING of merit.
All sons of God are SPECIAL by definition.
I see what you are saying. The foundation of you thought is "he has no desire than anyone should perish' and if that thought is God's sovereign will then your conclusions has a better foundation.
I have an explanation from my point of view, but I don't want to spend time on God's sovereign will vs. his moral will.
You know God rewards us for what He has done through us .... So, you will find me in the back row.Yep, one day I plan on running up to each and everyone of you in Heaven and giving you a big hug and telling you Thank You for making me a better Child of our Almighty God!
You get red x’s because you claim to be sinless, not because you are for or against osas.Absolutely.
And this garners respect to each other; to disagree without resorting to childish behavior and hurtful language.
I have posted LIKES to some on the OSAS side, but I get nothing but red X's from most of them all day.![]()
You've been anything but honest, totally misrepresenting me, and denying your own teachings, calling me what? A liar? Right? Then threatening to report me? That's really callow, I mean really callow bro.@Fastfredy0 this is why there is no peace, he judges me for doing what he himself is guilty of, and he thinks I am gonna sit still and let him get Way with it,
I do not mind having an honest debate with someone even when we disagree, but one thing I can not stand is a person who gets mad and slanders people just because they disagree with him, I have not let it slide, and I will not let it slide
Yes, be very gentle with me please.
thats just it, I did not do something, I said yes, but I did not come to that decision of my own effort, it was god working in me, and when I did say yes, god did all the work of saving me,
it was not me plus God, it was god saying he loved me and wants to save me and he sent his son to,die for me because I deserve eternal death, and if I will stand back and let him, he will save me
effort is what one does when the expend energy, not one ounce of energy was expended when I said yes by my own, but God expended so much in the completed process of bringing me to faith and doing the work to save me, and is continuing to transform me, not because I am expending energy in faith, but because I am at rest, watching him do a powerful thing
Dude you have lied about me, about others and your slander is so deep you can not even fathom itYou've been anything but honest, totally misrepresenting me, and denying your own teachings, calling me what? A liar? Right? Then threatening to report me? That's really callow, I mean really callow bro.
One thing, I don't lie. I know what you teach, and have it in your own words.
Now. I did happen to call you a coward when you had me on ignore, and you know why don't you? What were you doing when you had me on ignore? Insulting, name calling and the like.
Right? Admit it. Wasn't that what you were doing? Certainly.
And we weren't even in dialog. That's he behavior of you that I am calling out, then calling me a liar today? Time for you to man up and own up.
Then, in the area his will is not completed He is not sovereign (supreme ruler); rather, the one that does something contrary to God's will is sovereign in that area. Which makes on ask, "what are the areas that God's will is not done and why"?God can be soverign and still not have his will completed
Are you saying God cannot cause someone to love Him? If so, why is this power beyond God? Where did this power originate? ex nihilo nihil "nothing comes from nothing"relational loves requires 2 people
You know God rewards us for what He has done through us .... So, you will find me in the back row.
So a supreme ruler is not allowed to allow things which is against what he truly wishes, in order to preserve his character? Then, in the area his will is not completed He is not sovereign (supreme ruler); rather, the one that does something contrary to God's will is sovereign in that area. Which makes on ask, "what are the areas that God's will is not done and why"?
causing god to love him and forcing them are two different thingsAre you saying God cannot cause someone to love Him? If so, why is this power beyond God? Where did this power originate? ex nihilo nihil "nothing comes from nothing"
Under the law this is correct.
The sin he is talking about is returning to law“For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.
^
That is not discussing the Law!
The Law was never the "Knowledge of Truth."
Christ is the "Knowledge of Truth!"
Therefore, this verse should read:
“For if we sin deliberately after receiving (CHRIST), there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.
Christ is our Sacrifice for sins and this verse is not about the Law!
