because he said the work of forgiving someone is required to be saved.
forgiveness is work, if it was not. it would be easy. But the human condition does not like to forgive when we have been hurt.
What he should have said, Is those who are saved by faith, forgiveness is a fruit of the spirit. Because we are fogiven makes it easier to forgive other, ie the power of love.
i bet this guy is one of those Jesus' words only christians. lets throw away most of the new testament. st.paul's letters are gone because he is corrupted. hmm that means we have to throw out luke too so acts and gospel of luke is gone. st.peter endorsed st.paul in his second epistle so those are gone. we got gospel of matthew and john and mark left along with book of revelation. enjoy new testament nothing about the church starting no pentecost nothing. great.
